Good product from a reliable company
Great product. This larger size was a great addition to my helm area.

Good size and color
This is a good size for my SxS and the Kemimoto mount I got. Being white should hold up better outside in the heat of southern Utah. They call it a marine extinguisher, but it’s the same as any other.

Marine fire extinguisher.
I liked twice the lbs of retardant material over my older extinguisher. This extinguisher is larger but still fit in its location in the boat. After taking a fire extinguisher class and witnessed a 5 lb extinguisher was incapable of putting out a small gasoline fire when improperly used; I was shocked to see the 5 lb of retardant emptied so quickly and fire still burning. I had always thought that 5 lbs was ample amount of retardant for a small gas fire. Use properly, check the date on the bottom of the bottle if older than 12 years, replace with new. The expiration code has changed from date, but if within 12 years USCG will accept. Be fire safe.

Hope I don’t have to use it
Had to install a fire extinguisher per my state’s code. This one was big enough and doesn’t stick out so much since it’s white. The mounting bracket works as intended.

Good luck with these brackets.
The bracket that holds the extinguisher broke as I was trying to snap it on to the extinguisher. The plastic straps I got to assemble with it, are a very brittle plastic and will break easy. I tried to buy another bracket, and the bracket alone is as much as the whole extinguisher with the same crappy bracket I’m sure. I bought 2 and both are total junk. Bought a metal bracket for a replacement and it doesn’t fit this extinguisher. Also the bolt patterns are not the same so I have more holes in my boat just to mount these things so I would be thinking of going to a different manufacture for your marine fire extinguisher

Bracket woes
This is a nice beefy fire extinguisher for a medium to larger size boat, and I like the white color. However, the plastic bracket is hot garbage. A lot of people say you need plastic to prevent corrosion, although many of us don’t boat in salt water, or the fire extinguishers are kept in a dry cabin. But if you’re going to use plastic, at least make it a high quality plastic bracket which will hold up. I did spend hours looking for a metal bracket for this extinguisher, and even called Kidde customer support, where they gave me a part number, which I ordered, but it wouldn’t fit. The Mariner series have thicker necks on them, which requires a wider U on the bracket to fit around it. I found one which works on a Mariner 110, but couldn’t find a larger one with that wider U to accommodate the larger diameter of a 210. *I also bought two Mariner 110’s which I tried to review separately but Amazon would only let me edit this 210 review. So, my feedback for them: both came stamped with 2022 build dates, and their lives are only valid for 10 years. So you effectively lose 20% of what you’re paying for. The 210 was stamped 2024.
