DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME! hahaha
This stuff is pretty cool! I opted to sleeve the entire water hose that I was replacing rather than just the small portion that the old hose had in a sleeve. I should have chosen a sleeve that was a size larger as this one just fit the hose, making it a little slow going on because of the way the sleeve tightens if stretched. I learned this the hard way when playing with it before installing it. I got my finger stuck in it like the childhood Chinese handcuffs! Although hilariously amusing, I was a little embarrassing when I had to ask my adult son to free my fingers from the tube! He laughed for a while and couldn't wait to share it with his other brother when he got home from work! My advice to other mothers that refuse to grow up... Make sure you have one of your children standing by if you intend to test this sleeve with your fingers! Otherwise, you may be stuck until help arrives!

Exactly as described!
Does exactly what it says!I was skeptical on the fact that it’ll handle 1100°F continuousWell, I set it over 1000°F for over a minute and the power wires I used looked perfect! Warm to the touch, but not scolding and not meltedShould hold up fine in an engine bayGo ahead and buy this, it’s perfect!A++

good heat shield
Power accessories for my motorcycle have wiring that runs from the battery at the rear of the bike to the new accessories I installed at the front of the bike (dual horns, heated grips, accessory plugs, driving lights), and the only way to route the wiring is under the tank/fairing right up close to the engine. This sleeve works well in insulating the wiring from burns from the hot engine

Perfect application for most sizes in its range.
This heat sleeve expands and shrinks to fit a multitude of diameters in the range you purchased it for. They almost work like those Chinese finger cuffs if you know what I mean.

Great protection
I used this to protect the thin gauge wires for an LED light bar on my F150, where the wires were ran above the engine. I wanted to be sure they had adequate protection in that hot spot in the engine bay. It worked perfect!

Nice quality and works as described
Have ordered this heat sleeve twice now! Quality stuff! I have used it on automotive hoses that I ran near manifold and also used it to protect 4/0 welding wire I ran under my truck for my boombox. Highly recommended

I used this heat wrap for my fuel hose that runs close to my headers and it works great and haven't had any issues with the product melting or deforming.

Strong and flexible
This is fiberglass woven and silicone coated. I used this to encase two 18 gauge wires routed against a motorcycle engine case. Temperature ranges at about 150 degrees F, no problems.
