USB C HUB, Moffo Type C Hub with USB C Charging Port in USB C Adaptor Grey

This is an excellent product that performs well on all levels advertised. The hub looks great - very compact and blends well with the tone of the new MacBook pros. It comes with small attachable rubber 'feet' that allow the hub to sit comfortably on a flat surface when connected to the computer - I wasn't at all worried about the weight of the hub damaging the usb c ports. It feels sturdy and well made. The hub connects easily and snugly into the two usb c ports on a MacBook Pro - note that this won't work on the smaller 12 inch 'MacBook' models which only have one usb c port. The connections have all performed well for my use. The HDMI port has given no problems, connecting quickly and easily. Devices like external hard drives connect quickly to the USB A ports, with no dropped connections for me so far. The charging port on the hub is very useful if you have a lot of devices you want to connect at once while charging the computer. The SD and Micro SD card readers perform very well also, quickly connecting and ejecting. I'm not an expert of transfer rate speeds, but I have noticed that when transferring files from SD cards, hard drives etc this hub performs much faster than cheaper USB C adapters I have used in the past. Generally very impressed with the way it handles devices. The hub also comes with a little cloth carry bag which is useful if you're on the move. I'd recommend it highly overall - it's priced right and performs well.

Being a MacBook Pro user sometime you may find yourself trying to connect too many peripherals and running out of ports or occasionally you find your MacBook is lacking a certain port connection when trying to connect to another unit in a meeting. This hub comes with 1x Thunderbolt 3 USB C Port, 1x Standard USB C Port, 2x USB 3.0 ports, 1x HDMI 4K Port, 1x SD/ Micro SD card slots, pretty much everything you need in one when it comes to my daily ports connectivity. It is light in weight and a sleek designed USB C Hub. Very useful and easy to plug in. Comes with a nice carrying pouch for storing the hub when not attached. MacBook Pro users who like to rest their laptops on their lap while working, I would recommend not to do this while the hub is attached as you may run the risk in damaging the hub and the MacBook type C connector, be sensible and use it on a flat table surface as Apple products aren’t cheap to buy/ replace.

Update: I'm consistently finding that when this device is connected, I lose the ability to connect to Wifi. As soon as I disconnect it, I can access Wifi again. This is terribly inconvenient, and I cannot recommend this device. There seem to be other reports of this too. Original review. Works fine, albeit a little on the warm side. Mine lacks the protective pouch that most others seem to have received, which is unfortunate as I will be travelling extensively with this.

This is a well-designed unit and sits very nicely against my MacBook Pro. Just 2 niggles: i) it's not the same grey as the MacBook which is a real shame and would surely have been easy to get right, and ii) it gets very hot when power is run through it for any length of time - should it?!!

I bought this product because my main Type C USB Hub was recently stolen from me while studying at the library - that's £69.99 I will never see again. At first glance, this Type C Hub seemed a bargain compared to the one I had previously owned and it has all the same features - 2 USB 3.0, HDMI output ports, USB C Connections and more. This has enabled me to unplug my separate HDMI adapter for connecting to a monitor. Furthermore, if you are managing SD's a lot, those SD cards will be useful. In terms of speed, the transmission speed is good and comparable to what you would expect from a 3rd party manufacture of Type C devices. Overall, very useful and no problems.

Fast delivery especially considering I ordered late on Sunday evening and it arrived by 13:00 Monday. Nicely packaged in sealed plastic then inside a high quality cloth drawstring bag. Product is really high quality and of a good weight it connects nicely into my 15" MacBook pro (touch) and does what it needs to do without any fuss. Nice tight engineering tolerances too.

Great bit of kit that matches my MacBook in both feels and colour even down to the little rubber feet that comes with it so that there’s no strain on the ports. I was surprised how many ports Apple have taken off the newer models and now at last I can connect and leave connected anything that I want to and what impressed me was the speed of transfer etc This is one bit of kit I’m definitely not going to return!

I'd tried a few adapters, but none were doing it for me. Ugly cables, no HDMI, interference on 2.4GHz... I haven't had any issues with this one however. Looks stylish, matches the MacBook almost perfectly, snug and secure fit and doesn't interfere with 2.4GHz WiFi. If I had to criticise I'd say that the USB ports a tad too close together, making larger USB drives difficult to fit, but its not unmanageable. Overall, I am very impressed with the hub. Absolutely worth the price tag in my mind. A must have for anyone with a MacBook Pro.

Ich habe den Hub gekauft, da Apple nun außer USB-C alle Anschlüsse gestrichen hat. Der Moffo Hub ist super verarbeitet, klein und leicht - perfekt zum mitnehmen. Außerdem hat er alle Anschlüsse die man braucht: 2x USB für Maus oder USB Stick, HDMI für einen externen Monitor und das wichtigste für mich: einen weiteren USB-C Anschluss zum Laden und ein Kartenlesegerät. Alles in allem die perfekte Lösung um alles anschließen zu können und passt optisch auch noch sehr gut zum Macbook Pro in grau. Sehr gut finde ich auch, dass man den Hub sogar mit dem beigelegen Abstandhaltern für das 13, bzw 15 zoll Modell perfekt justieren kann. Klare Kaufempfehlung meinerseits

Benutze dieses Adapter an meinem Macbook Pro. Ich muss sagen, dass es optisch sehr schön und einheitlich aussieht. Alle Anschlüsse funktionierten reibungslos. Ist definitiv gut verarbeitet und das kleine LED, welches anzeigt, dass das Adapter in Betrieb ist, finde ich praktisch :D Das Adapter kommt mir winzig vor, aber genau dies macht es aktraktiv! Mitgeliefert wurden: 1x Das Adapter mit 2 USB 3.0 - abwärtskompatibel, Micro-SD, SD-Kartenleser, 2 USB C Anschlüssen 1x Lederimitat Tasche 1x Betriebsanleitung 6x Kleine Füße zum aufkleben, siehe Bilder. Ein Punkt abzug, da die mitgelieferte Ledertasche etwas besser sein könnte, wobei hier der Fokus auf den Adapter gelegt werden müsste.

Ich habe vor knapp einem Jahr diese Dockingstation gekauft. Anfangs war ich sehr begeistert, da Funktion und das kompakte Design top sind. Ich habe das Gerät sowohl auf Reisen als auch im Heimbetrieb an meinem MacBook Pro genutzt. Dementsprechend wurde es alle paar Wochen mal ausgesteckt, in eine Tasche gepackt und wieder eingesteckt. Jedoch muss ich nun sagen, dass sich der Kauf nicht gelohnt hat. Das Gerät hat mittlerweile am HDMI und an beiden USB-Ports Wackler. Die USB-Ports speziell in Verbindung mit einem USB Dongle für Funkmäuse funktionieren nur noch fehlerhaft - Verbindung bricht immer mal wieder für paar Sekunden ab (bei meinem Desktop-PC funktioniert sie übrigens tadellos). Und mein Bildschirm, der per HDMI dran ist, hat ständig Verzerrungen im Bild oder das Bild bricht komplett ab. Der Card-Reader hat von Anfang nicht tadellos funktioniert, da immer mal wieder der Kontakt zur Karte verloren ging - da ich ihn aber sehr selten benutzt habe, fällt dies nicht allzu stark in die Gewichtung. Damals hab ich knapp 65€ dafür gezahlt. Bei einer Laufleistung von vlt. 10-12 Monaten ist das einigermaßen vertretbar. Im Nachhinein würde ich mir diese Dockingstation aber nicht nochmal kaufen. Fazit: Wer diese Dockingstation und hin und wieder mal mobil damit unterwegs ist, sie also nicht ständig im Port hat, dem rate ich definitiv nicht zum Kauf.

Mit meinem dunkel grauen MacBook Pro sieht es farblich fast perfekt aus. Den fünften Stern kann ich deswegen nicht geben da der Hub komplett aus Aluminium gefertigt ist BIS auf die vordere sowie hintere Seite, hier ist nur schwarzes Plastik was ich bei einem Preis von 45€ schwach finde. Sehr schön sind hier die abgerundeten Ecken, was bei der Konkurrenz nicht der Fall ist. Was jedoch sehr positiv ist, sind die ZWEI USB-Typ-C Ports hier bieten Lenovo und Ko nur selbst nur einen an.

Das Gerät ist teuer, technisch akzeptabel (Anschlüsse, Geschwindigkeit, Funktionalität), Farbe passt nicht zum Macbook. Es gibt hier bessere Geräte für die Hälfte.
