This bit was absolutely perfect on our Porcelain Tile. One learning from this is that I would have gone with a slightly larger bit, as this was a tad too narrow for the bolts on our mixer. That said, the product was perfect. Continuous water and modulated speed, we got through the tile with no chipping or cracking.5 Stars, and I would certainly buy again (one size up next time) :-)

I used this diamond hole drill bit to put a hole in backerboard and a ceramic tile for a shower wall repair. It worked very well and I did not need to water-cool it. I would recommend this drill bit. I cannot say how it would perform over and over, but for the limited repair I was doing, it was a breeze to use!

I used this bit to cut 3 holes in 3/8" thick porcelain tile and it went great. Better than I was expecting based on some other reviews. It took me just 4 minutes to cut each hole but I am super cautious and would rather the job take 4 minutes than risk a cracked tile trying to do it in 3 minutes.I used the method or "wobbling" the bit around as I drilled and that worked better than just keeping it perpendicular and pushing harder. The final hole measured 2 9/16" in diameter. Very little chipping on the surface of the tile. Using a couple layers of blue painters tape helped with the chipping on my 2nd and 3rd attempt. Go slow as you cut through the face of the tile. I had the drill on it's highest speed which worked better than at slow speed.

Worked very well for me. the pilot bid is great for precision.Seems to be durable, after 5 holes, it does not shows any signs of wear.I purchased other diameters as well, they all worked great.

Only used it once, Did the job cleanly and quickly. Still has a good cutting edge. Pretty good for the money.
