Feel nice on, not any too large

Just took delivery of two pairs of shorts, both sized Medium...one fit well, and this one seemed larger. It was also damp with a strong chemical smell...some type of solvent. If I had to guess, I'd say its what used to repel water. Gave me a headache. Shorts are in the garage drying/airing out. If the smell doesn't subside, they're going back. Shorts are individually packed in a ziplock-type bag...even the inside of the bag was wet.Returned the funky/damp pair...the new item had a light solvent smell but wasn't wet, so decided to give them a chance. One pair fit well, the second pair fit a bit more loosely, even though they were the same size medium so will need to wear a belt (as others have mentioned, but not a big deal). Originally bought these for hiking, but unfortunately the roomy cargo pockets have a velcro flap...would have preferred a zipper for security. Very lightweight, quick drying. I'll keep them for everyday use, but will look for shorts with zippered cargo pockets for hiking. I'd recommend these now that the smell has dissipated.

Fit well, stretchy, lightweight with lots of good pockets. Wanted an above the knee short that are hard to find in stores. Great for everyday, hiking, golfing.

Previous cargo shorts were thick and heavy, which was sturdy but hot. These are a totally different experience. Still sturdy, but lightweight, and MUCH more comfortable in hot weather.

In the item description, it says that size Medium fits waists 32 - 34". I am 5 ft. 8 in. tall and weigh 150 pounds; my waist is 32.5". I own two pairs of size Medium that I wear while golfing, and both waists are loose on me; I absolutely need to wear a belt with these, or they would fall down. Between ordering my first and second pair of size Medium, I ordered another pair in size Small; the waist was a little snug for me, but the hips and thighs were too tight, so I had to return them. I love all of the other features of these shorts, so I will tolerate the loose waist and be sure to wear a belt while golfing. The fabric is very lightweight; the pockets are a very tight mesh, NOT the kind of loose mesh that will snag golf tees or car keys. The pockets are plentiful and good sized. If the waist size was actually as listed in the item description, I would have given these five stars.

Great shorts. Very soft and dry quickly. They look nice enough that these are the only cargo shorts my fiancé will let me wear

These shorts fit great, however, just after a year of wearing, the middle has already split. The fabric is very thin so be careful when considering buying them.

My husband loves these shorts so much that I had to keep them washed until I bought a couple more pair. They wash and dry beautifully and we both love them!
