Excellent Display, Great Value
This is a review for the Caperave 17" 4k Monitor. I noticed a number of reviews were for the 15.6" Display.Setup was easy. All required cables were included as well as a USB-C power supply. I typically keep my laptop connected to a charger when using the external monitor. However, the monitor was easily powered via USB from my laptop battery. Note that, as expected, it did reduce run time by at least a third.I wanted a 4k monitor to match the resolution of my laptop display so resolution settings didn't have to be changed each time the external monitor was in use. The display is bright with good contrast and sharp images. The on-screen settings offer a full set of options, although the default settings seemed to meet my needs. Image quality mirrors the quality of my 14" 4K laptop display. The monitor display was restored automatically when the display came out of sleep mode. That was a concern as another reviewer mentioned an issue with this. Perhaps a laptop issue? The monitor is thin and light. The included slip case is a better choice for my use (better protection in my briefcase) than the fold-over covers that come with a number of the competitive offerings. Similarly, the kickstand to adjust viewing angle is more flexible and reliable than the typical fold-over case positioning tabs. This is not a touch screen, but I never use the built in touch functionality on the laptop's built in display. The audio in not very loud, but I suppose its challenging to get much volume out of the compact speakers required to keep the case as thin as it is. I'll use the external audio connector or switch the audio output to the laptop speakers when required.I emailed Caperave a couple times with questions about the display. They responded promptly. I'm hopeful that’s a good indication of future support.

Excellent & Portable
This monitor is exactly what I was looking for! It's portable, thin, lightweight and quality. It comes with everything you need including cables and a carrying case. It fits perfectly in a bookbag. Resolution and screen knits are excellent. Great value

All around excellent
I got this for work travel, plugs into my MacBook Pro with only one cable, configure resolution setting to 4k one time, and it powers and loads perfectly every time.I appreciate having the travel protective sleeve.Maybe the height to width ratio looks a little wide, but I’m not sure - anyhow.Brightness is quite decent, but I just use it for data analysis. Needing the reset brightness every time you plug it in is a little annoying, but the user interface of the buttons is actually quite adequate, so it’s not a problem for me.Bravo - I wish these randomly named manufacturers had better branding, and it’s super confusing when they put multiple products in one product page and people review them and you don’t really know what you’re getting. But this is highly recommended. 15.6 inch seems a little small for 4k, but this 17.3 is the starting point for me where the user interface at 4k becomes relatively usable (I have pretty good eyes and don’t zoom text).I suspect this is probably one of the better portable travel monitors out there - recommended.

gets power through the usb C not need for another power source.
The perfect size monitor for a 16 inch macbook pro. The picture quality good enough for my aging eyes to be able to see spreadsheets clearly. This monitor works flawlessly as an additional screen everyday for me. great price too.

Extremely well built and excellent clarity
This monitor was so good I thought I needed to write a review about it! I've had a few different portable monitors before with varying degrees of satisfaction, but this one is so sharp and clear and everything about it just seems so high quality for a really good value.Regarding the picture color and clarity, I can't imagine it being much better. The colors are so sharp and I just love having the 4K resolution. Absolutely excellent in that regard.Regarding the build, It is so flat and thin and it feels really well-built. Even though the stand that comes out of the back is tiny and you would almost miss it maybe, it works really well. Something that really liked so much is that it comes with its own sleeve for travel or packing, it's such a sleek design on the sleeve that I was just incredibly happy it came with this. It feels well protected inside that sleeve and it definitely doesn't seem like an afterthought. I think that that was the problem with the last portable monitor that I got, it didn't come with any really functional travel case when it's supposed to be a travel monitor. So yes, it seems like a lot of thought went into this product and I just wanted to give it five stars and let people know it's a really good value. Oh, by the way also, I had read about some of the other monitors that were in this size category that needed external power. For me my Lenovo yoga laptop completely powers it. So I don't need to have anything except for the one USB connected to it. Oh yes, one last thing, they gave you a huge set of cables with it. Not that I need them, because I'm not going to use it for in HDMI version, and I don't need the power plug that they gave with it, but it also was included. Anyhow yeah it's really great.
