For me this is one of my favorite sanding discs for tearing off some pretty rugged stuff and the disc lasts until the last little bit, I get my mileage out of it

These fiber flapper discs start to fall apart within a few minutes when using a standard 4.5” angle grinder with no speed control, they hold together much better on a variable speed angle grinder when set slow to about 3000 rpm.I’m using them on stainless steel exhaust header tubing.

There is nothing on each wheel showing what the grit is so you have to make your own guide for reference. This would be an easy thing for the seller to fix.

I had hopes these might provide gentle polishing to follow the more aggressive clean and strip purple disks. In fact these disks left a haze on the metal. At first I thought I had not cleaned all the prior lacquer coating off but the surface was coated with a red colored haze. I went back to the clean and strip disks and cleaned the surface again. Got it to a bright finish. Then tired to polish with this product. More haze!! Then I realized it was the red soft disk I was using. I tried two of the other styles and they too left the haze. I strongly DO NOT recommend these.

These things are terrible. So cheap… came apart immediately.

I have purchased these several times and would recommend them. I use them with my angle grinder. The only issue is when I first use them, they seem a tiny bit wider than 4 1/2 inches, since they do rub against the guard when first using them. This does not distract from their quality.

I used them to remove the clear coat from VW aluminum rims that started peeling off and looking ugly. Started with grit 80 sanding discs but they were leaving marks that weren't easy to remove. When I got these I was able to clean one rim in 20 mins. I used 180 grit to remove the clear coat and then 320 to polish them. At the end I didn't even need to spray anything on the rims as they're looking like new right now. I would recommend this product
