Cardinal Health Silicone Bordered Foam Dressing

This was used to cover my rotator cuff surgery stitch line. I can't remember the name of the one I had from the hospital, it's been 3 weeks now, but while amazon does in fact carry it, they are $12 EACH, if you have looked for that brand, you probably know which one I am talking about. These however will do the job just fine. The adhesion is excellent but does not pull the wound open when removing. I was a bit concerned because the actual bandage part was sticky too, but I have had no issues taking them off or it sticking to the wound. It should be known that the wound is not weeping/bleeding etc, so this may change their performance in your case. I would recommend these highly for any stitch line that is 6" or less. As they have had to fold down into my armpit and still stay put for up to 48hrs I would bet that they would perform well on any convoluted or flexed section of the body, ie, back of the knee, side of the elbow, near or on your naughty bits...if that's where you need it, waist, neck etc. Very happy with the results and the price is right for sure. One (presently) gimpy thumbs up from me.

If you were curious how big it is, it was large enough to wrap more than halfway around the ankle with the adhesive part and about halfway around my ankle with the gauze part of it which was perfect for my ankle post-surgery. Highly recommend for medium length incisions.

The bandage adheres well without hurting or sticking to the wound.

These were awesome! Had total shoulder replacement used these over incision. Adhesion did not make me red or irritated.I would order again if needed.

I give this product a 4 of 5 because 1)I got this 2 days late, 2)the box was damaged 3) the product it self looks great the only thing I found is a bit iffy is the thin top outer layer the part that doesn’t go directly on the skin it looks like it might not withstand rubbing like on pants or if you accidentally scratched the material I think it would easily rip. I can say I was very surprised when I compared the medline 8x4 and this bandage, this bandage is like about half inch longer on the padding which is perfect because I personally thought 8x4 might be a bit small but now that I compared them I think this bandage will definitely work. I also liked the sticky side, it reminds me of those mepilex ones you get at the hospital.

Turns out I had a rash and slight scarring because I'm allergic or sensitive to the adhesive. Also when taking a showing the bandage pad absorbed the water and swelled up.

The burns I had from radiation wouldn’t even begin to heal until I used these bandages. I tried dozens of others prior to using these- what a lifesaver! My doctor recommended these but I couldn’t find it locally. GET THESE-DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THE OTHER SUBSTANDARD BANDAGES !!!
