I like this size to fit easily into my purse/backpack. I don't need a giant container to take me thru the desert, just something for short term and very portable. I wish they made some plain ones for adults and not just for kids. This design is neutral enough though and doesn't bug me that much.

My kids are rough on water bottles. We broke at least 4 this school year. I finally decided to get a Nalgene for each of them and am so happy I did. The little metal piece that holds the lid in locked position came off once but was super easy to pop back on with no issues. No leaks. Color hasn’t faded. Easy to clean. Super durable with my rough & tough boys.

Great water bottle. Fun design and seems durable. A little tough to open and close for kiddos.

About a decade and a couple of more years ago 🤣, I used to be a PM of Nalgene here in my country. So I am biased that I love Nalgene, although the pay from the distributor was lousy. 😂And of course I had a handful of free Nalgene bottles 😄 (yeah the perks 🥳) and the bottles lasted years, I mean years. And even up to now, I have one remaining that I have used I think for about 8yrs maybe. Ewww 😬🤢 but hey it’s my fav and I will keep on using it even if I recently bought a glow in the dark one.Anyways, I just had to buy this small green bottle for my daughter who loves green and dinosaurs. No leaks. A tad bit hard for a 4yr old to open but super sturdy and lightweight. No more carrying heavy stainless bottles for my kid. Just Nalgene. 😍After all these years, it’s kind of sentimental to have my daughter use the same trusted brand that I used to love and promote. 🥹

Also the plastic holding the metal spring for the lid broke on the flip lid so 1 of my bottles no longer works after a coupleMonths of use.

Strong, leak proof, easy to clean. A little hard to open but my 5yo can do it and he likes the bottle.

I bought this bottle for my son. The cap top wouldn’t shut and lock, the cap wouldn’t screw onto the bottle correctly. I contacted the manufacturer for a new product and they sent me the cap only. This did not fix our problem.

Arrived without a lid and no protective wrapping :(The other one I ordered in a different pattern was complete though.Returned - which is a bit of a time waste to have to take it in to drop off.

The lid's threading was often difficult for little hands to manage independently, leading to frequent requests for assistance. This defeated the purpose of providing a bottle that was meant to be easy for kids to use on their own.Additionally, the size and weight of the bottle were a bit cumbersome for smaller children. Its bulkiness made it less convenient for them to carry around, especially during outdoor activities or while at school.While the bottle's durability was evident in its resistance to minor drops and knocks, the usability and functionality aspects fell short of our expectations.In conclusion, the Nalgene Water Bottle for Kids, despite its touted durability and BPA-free materials, failed to meet our needs due to consistent leaking issues, challenging cap handling, and its bulkiness for smaller children. For parents seeking a more user-friendly and reliable water bottle for their kids, exploring other options might be advisable. Our experience left us seeking a more functional and hassle-free solution for our child's hydration needs.

Definitely not for youth under 9-10 yrs or anyone struggling with manual dexterity.
