Good quality item. Sturdy and decent plastics No soldering needed, easy as fitting a mains plug. The terminal and screw are sturdy and hold the wire very firmly. It takes a decent sized wire. The plug and socket have a clever system that clamps and seals against the outer flex and the whole thing seals as it's screwed together. While fitting this, it became obvious to me that it is well thought out and fit for purpose and I have confidence it will be completely watertight. Its quick and easy to unscrew and disconnect the lead once fitted and its foolproof as a cutout prevents it being connected the wrong way. I used this to replace the push fit waterproof plug and socket for my ebike battery. I disconnect and take the battery off the bike after each ride. With use the connector eventually split and caused a short circuit which damaged some sensors. Fortunately the damage can be fixed without too much expense. To make sure it doesn't happen again I've upgraded the power plugs, probably overkill but this looked the best option and I am very very happy with the result. The only negative for me is it's a lot larger and heavier than the julet type fittings it replaces but then it's much better and safer.

Brilliant connectors, I use these on all my power tools and just keep one extension on the male side, quick to screw together and gives flexibility to extension cable and just swap over to the next tool as required.. I bought 3 and fitted all 3 just to the power tool itself, then just one male connector in a fused plug cable and bingo.. getting more now to fit to other power tools.. great buy and waterproof which is a bonus..

I bought this to replace the inline 12V connector on my Noco Genius 10 battery charger which was suffering from a loose connection. Although my lead has just 2 wires, polarity is important for DC, so a normal mains 2 pin connector would be too risky. For this reason I went for a 3 pin connector with the earth pin unused in order to ensure correct polarity when connecting. Fitting was straightforward. If you have ever wired a mains plug you will be fine. Just remember to thread the wire through the seal before you wire it up! It works perfectly, and looks and feels very solid. It is also very compact (not much larger than the original and inferior Noco connector) I dont need it to be particularly weatherproof or waterproof as its only 12V. I suspect that the cable seals may not be watertight as my cables are flat twin cross section rather than round. This is not a fault of the connector as I am using it for an application its not really intended for. Highly recommended.

I needed a way to replace the clumsy plug and waterproof socket I was using for my EV charger as the plug kept wriggling free of the socket and arcing and melting the plugs. This was the perfect thing for the job. Very compact and well made, the seals are really good too, no concerns about it being out in the rain. Really easy to wire up, just remember to put the two outer collars on the cable before you wire it up! Being rated to 15 amps also means it's rated for the power going through it, the fuse on the extension cable being 13 amp, so no concerns about high load scenarios either. I would definitely buy one again if I needed to join cable together for outdoor use.

I have purchased several of these connectors in the past and they work fine. I have used them in light to moderate rain and also when there has been a heavy dew. I have had no issues regarding the resistance to water ingress. I do not use them as a permanent connection, rather to connect and disconnect. They can be a little tricky to disconnect if you over tighten. I find the answer is not to over-tighten the knurled ring. A firm tighten with fingers is all that is required.
