Great EDC knife
This is a great knife and super sharp out of the box. Open up easily and locks in place very well and stays centered.

Worth it.
Very smooth fold out, slim in the pocket, so I don’t really feel it there, comfortable. Narrow blade, comfortable to hold. The notch at the top of the handle really helps with grip.

Great Work Knife
Bought the knife on sale for $49 and it was the best investment I ever made. I had the knife for a year and used it to break down and cut up boxes at work. It was incredibly sharp too as I almost cut my pinky off with it one time. That was after I had it for about 8 months. If I hadn’t have lost it I would probably still be using it. Now the other guy can enjoy it. Loved the knife, would definitely recommend this knife for work. Great price, great knife and it never even misfired on me.

Good quality. But meh
I've recently become a budget knife aficionado. Not an expert, but just love certain features and looks about a knife. I've been watching many youtube videos on the best knives under fifty dollars and came to the conclusion that maybe this knife was the next one to add to my growing stack. I've come to a few conclusions.I have bigger hands and this one doesn't flick too well. The clip is short and ultra stiff. I honestly had never thought of a clip before I had to deal with this one. A little harder to one hand operate, clip on/off in pocket. Add in the lack of flickability and this becomes not my fav EDC.If you don't know what flickability is, try out a $25 Ganzo Firebird (d2 steel btw). I also enjoy carrying the honeybadger knife. I have several models of these and the ability to customize makes that one my fav budget knife.Setting aside my preferences in flick and clip stiffness, the knife does look nice and the blade is very nice. The handles/scales are good quality. Overall construction and D2 painted steel bumps it up to a 4 despite wanting me to give it a 3 for how i feel about putting it in my pocket and then using it if i only had one hand. It is a "solid knife" as many have said. But it lacks in some points that I find very important about a pocket knife.

Good size, high quality
Good small size, but big enough to do what you need it for. I am a custom knife maker and bought this just because the company is allegedly going under. It’s an iconic knife company and I wanted to grab a piece before they are gone. High quality, pretty sharp (I sharpened mine razor sharp) comfortable and useful. You can’t go wrong with these. D2 is a great steel even though there are way more expensive alloys out there, you aren’t going to notice that much of a difference under normal use. That’s just reality.

exceptional for the price
I can tell you a dozen things that work better in other knives, but those knives are all double to 10x the price. For the price this is a great knife. The handle is a little less textured than I like (I dont think its g10) and the blade coating is not top of the line, and heck the blade is only D2. But for the size and price this thing is probably some of the best per dollar knife you can find anywhere. The action is smooth, the lock is secure, the blade stays sharp, no chipping, and the handle is grippy enough. I love this thing. I carry it more often than just about anything else. Were talking ZT's, frame lock emersons, spydercos, benchmades, etc. Its just a great combination of quality and size and price--it doesnt scare people though its not exactly a gentleman's folder.

The best
You need a good and affordable EDC knife with good steel and a good grip, this is the one. I've been carrying it around for many months now and am never hesitant to pull it out as I know it'll do the job. For anyone torn between the Rat 1 and 2, trust me when I say the smaller sized Rat 2 is really all a normal person needs. I've found that you're much more likely to carry around and pull out an actual pocket sized knife instead of a knife that is the size of a whole pocket

Solid Choice
This has become one of my favorite pocket knives to carry around. It's ergonomic, feels very solid, and is valued appropriately. The factory edge was sharp. I have several knives made by the Ontario Knife Company now, and they all have been quality products.
