They are durable. I'll give them that much. The matts have held up and have not gotten scratched despite disregard for how they are washed or plates/utensils are set on them. They've kept the table from getting burnt, are a decent size, and good value for the price.

This is such a nice set of 6 retro looking pleather placemats and coasters! These are a perfect fit for my vintage dining room table! I love the shape of these placemats and coasters they have that vintage shape which matches perfectly with my design theme. I love that these placements and coasters are reversible so if your decorating theme changes these can change with it. I love the olive green color and the light grey color it matches my dining room very well. You never have to wash or iron these placemats all you need to do is wipe them down with either soap or a mild detergent. This look great on my mid century modern table but they serve a purpose too! These help protect my table nicely from scratches, heat rings, and water rings. Please note when these arrive you should let them air out 1 or 2 days before using them because they have a chemical odor which is common with faux leathers. I would highly recommend this set of placemats and coasters to anyone wanting to jazz up their table setting!

These are perfect for my round mid century dining table. The colors go well with my decor. They came a bit curled at the edges which I am still trying to flatten out. Which is why I gave a 4 instead of a 5.

These have a terrible chemical smell upon opening. My entire dining area smelled like acetone. Im hoping they will air out and I can actually use them.

We’ve gone on for years with rectangular placemats for our breakfast nook area with nothing but problems. You can only fit four maximum at a table big enough for six, and you have to put them inches away from the edges to prevent the corner from hanging off.Why not get round placemats?? Well, round placemats leave no place to put your drink…unless you’re some kind of animal who doesn’t sit with their drink because they drink all of their drink once the meal is completely over. Finally, every placemat we’ve ever had was too thick, textured, stiff, not waterproof, you name it.These are absolutely perfect. They’re an oblong kidney shape so they look stylish AND provide room for your drink. Plus these come with matching coasters that look like adorable mini placemats, plus they’re reversible dark green and gray, PLUS they are waterproof! If you haven’t stopped reading and ordered these already I recommend you hop to it because you will never go back to your old trashy placemats or use a tablecloth that hides your beautiful wood tabletop ever again!

Did not like the “faux” look at all. The placemats really looked cheap and although I thought I would like the shape, I did not. Returned the day after receiving.

I'm very pleased with this set. The product pictures can be a little confusing, and the "Set of 6" in the description I'm still trying to figure out what it means, but you get four identical placemats and four identical coasters, eight pieces in total; each piece has two usable sides, one dark blue, and the other yellow mustard. I like the colors, unusual and different from anything I own. I cannot judge the heat resistance since I am unwilling to experiment with it! If " heat " means the heat of food or water, they are indeed resistant. They are easy to clean, and the mats are flexible, the flexibility you would expect for a 1-mm thick faux leather. The price is fair. Five stars, hands down.
