Our Grandson who will be 5 in January loved this excavator. It appears to be well made, and he was able to learn how to use the remote quickly. He like all the details on it like the wipers and opening engine compartment. He also liked that he could turn the lights and the engine sound on or off. Having two rechargeable batteries will allow him to always be able to play with it while saving a good bit of money over time. We were able to purchase a low cost two year warranty which we hope we will never have to use but insures that he will be able to enjoy it for years. It also says something as to the confidence of the seller as to the build quality.

I bought this in conjunction with a dump truck and both are really nice. Very realistic in their function and maneuverability. My son in law enjoys them as much as my grandchild. These are super nice toys. The batteries last longer than I thought they would. Learning to use them was easier than I thought. We used them to pick up dried beans which was a good substitute for dirt for indoor fun. Very cool toys.

We love this toy! We took it to the beach and used it to play in the sand, which it did perfectly! I'm about to buy another one for my other son, so they both can play at the same time together!

My son received this for Christmas and loves playing with it. He’s obsessed with excavators so this was a perfect gift. It is very realistic, he has been pointing things out on it that we learned in a book about how things work, which he gets really excited about each time he notices something new. It’s also quieter than typical remote control items, which I appreciate!

TOO SMALL WE THOUGHT IT WOULD BE BIGGER

If you have a kid that loves heavy machine equipment this is the start of a nice collection. I brought it as a gift and my 4 year cousin loved it. It comes with 2 battery packs so it gives hours of fun.
