CuprinolDucksback 5L Silver Copse (317502)

The media could not be loaded. I had a very long fence to paint and really didn’t want to do it numerous times so I wanted a slightly thicker paint and this fitted the bill. I used two 5L tins to complete the fence and the back gate…two coats on the fence as it had been previously stained and 3 coats on the gate as it was bare wood. Two very important things to note…each coat MUST be applied within 2-3 days. If you leave it longer it doesn’t stick to the coat below. For this reason I did the fence in stages. I painted for two hours…allowed two hours drying and then applied a second coat. Then the following day moved on to the next section. I was lucky the weather was fantastic so got it all finished in a week. Second important point is this is for use on rough sawn wood…it doesn’t stick to planed wood in the same way and may peel off. The final tip I would give is stir it really well…I used a mixer on an electric drill and mixed for several minutes. You need a good mix for consistent thickness. The paint itself is excellent quality, best applied with a brush but can be sprayed. The colour is amazing and the plants really pop against it. It certainly doesn’t make the garden feel dark. The tins arrived in perfect condition, inside a bag and the top is sealed with very strong tape. I had no leakage. I would definitely recommend this paint. It has rained since I finished and the water just sits on the top in droplets. I really hope we get a good five years ( as stated on the tin) out of it.

Painted my new fence with this and I love it put 2 coats on and it looks fab water 💦 resistance and the quality is very good. Easy to use and good value for money, will buy again.

Great colour coverage is good I needed a few coats as I was covering a blue but it did the job good quality value for money I thought although Wickes had it on offer after I’d bought this 😂typical of my luck anyway it did the job it was quite thick for my spray gun so diluted it and did a few coats 👍

A nice colour, not thin like some products, easy to apply and tin easy to open but secure when closed. Once ecsess removed brushes etc. are easy to clean. Thank you.

I read the reviews on this product and hoped I was going to be one of the positive. This product doesn’t disappoint. The photo to the right is first coat, second coat and final coat to the left. It’s lovely. Goes onto the fence beautifully! Drys in a nice time too. It also arrived completely sealed and no over spill as lot of people mentioned. Will need more as a large garden but I’m not even half way down the first pot yet and done nearly 2 panels.Very happy !! 😊

Painted an aging shed and it has covered the brown wood with a very pleasing dark grey stain. I don’t think I need to give a second coat. Looks much more modern now. Would recommend.

Bought to brighten up the fence after the sun had faded the paint. Easy to apply The silver look really well against the Green of the trees and grass
