I really really like this cutting board. We have cutting boards of all styles, and out of many different materials, with plastic being the most common. I really wanted one that was thick and wooden for chopping vegetables. Some of the plastic ones we have and love, but because of their rubber feet, they are elevated slightly off the countertop. When tap chopping, they act sort of like a drum and tend to bounce all the food right off the board. This obviously isn’t ideal. This board is quite thick and very solid. It is the perfect board for us because it’s ¾” thick, which makes it nearly rock solid for chopping, but is still convenient to store (as opposed to a 2-3” thick butcher block which would be most ideal for chopping, but a nightmare to store). The recessed portions at the top of the board make it great to separate different foods and is the main reason I purchased this board over other ¾” bamboo boards. I think it is an absolutely phenomenal use of space, and it keeps us from dirtying up bowls that will really only hold the ingredients for 5-10 minutes anyway. The bottom of this board doesn’t have these pockets, but it does have a juice groove all the way around if you wanted to use it that way. Upon reading other reviews, I did buy some food grade mineral oil for cutting boards and I’m really glad I did. This board really soaked it up. I think I put three fairly thick coats on it before it finally stopped taking the oil. I’ve always heard cutting raw meats on a wood cutting board is very unsanitary, as the juices will absorb into the board, possibly contaminating food you chop on it in the future. When I need to cut raw meat, I either get one of our old plastic cutting boards out and use it for the meat, or I get one a cheap plastic cutting mat and place it on top of this bamboo board. Overall this is an excellent board, and as long as I keep it oiled, and don’t wash it with soap and water, I think it will last many many years.

I like to cook and I often find myself needing a larger cutting space. This board is a great size. I was really happy to see that, while both sides have the juice grooves, only one side had the built-in compartments. So if you don't need the compartments but want the extra space, you can just flip the board over. I bought this board in conjunction with some plastic color coded mats. I just lay the mats over this board for easy clean up. I also placed a drawer liner under this to give some extra grip. Even without the liner this board didn't slide around. It's decently heavy which I am thrilled about. Won't scratch your counter tops or dull your blades. The only downside is that these types of boards require a little more maintenance than your average plastic board, hence the plastic mats. If you can minimize the amount of washing you do with this board it will last that much longer. Wood quality is excellent. The wood is smooth all around; no chips or rough patches. It appears to be good quality, making it a good gift item.

This cutting board is perfect. I had 2 glass cutting boards but a heavy metal cup fell out of the cabinet on one and broke it into hundreds of pieces. No more glass for me! This board is smooth to the touch. It's attractive. It is large enough to actually be able to move the foods around that I am working with, and them remain on the board, and not slip off to the counter. Once I oiled it, as per instructions, and let it dry, I have been using it every day, 2-3 times a day. I love the little wells for the chopped/diced bits. Gosh, i wish this had been around when I was in my 30s. I'm 76 now and I really could have benefited from this cutting board all those years ago. But better later than not at all..... I highly recommend this for your kitchen. And rest assured, nothing made of metal falling on it, is going to break it.

Is this a great cutting board? No. It's a perfectly serviceable cutting board, and it really can't be beat for the price. The built-in compartments are a nice touch and make my mise en place a pleasure. And when I don't need them, I can flip the board over and make use of the extra cutting space on the reverse side. It's a little light-weight for my preferences, but it will still stay in place if set on top of a moist paper (which you should really do anyway). It was a little splintery right out of the box, but after a quick touch-up in my workshop, it's now working just fine. And for the price, I think you'd be hard pressed to do any better.

I really like this cutting board. It’s big and solid, and the bamboo feels nice and sturdy. The built-in compartments are a game changer — I can chop everything and keep it separated without making a mess. The juice grooves actually work too, which keeps my counter clean when slicing juicy fruits or meats. It’s a little on the heavy side, but that just makes it feel stable while I’m using it. Easy to clean and looks good on the counter. Makes prepping meals way easier.

Never realized how important a good cutting board is. Has the side trays so you can do multiple jobs at once so it’s time saving. The weight of the board is really nice considering how big it is. The company has some great usage tips too for the amateur chefs out there.

Wow, I really love this cutting board! She's soft to the touch and pretty thick. The three compartments are very useful to keep foods such as garlic, fresh herbs and onions separate. They are slightly rounded so that you can easily slide food into a bowl or pan. The board cleans well and is lightweight. I'm very satisfied with my purchase and I'm even thinking of getting the large size. It would also make a great gift! ----------------- Français ----------------- Wow! Les trois compartiments sont super pratiques pour garder les aliments tel que: l'ail, les fines herbes fraîches et les oignons séparément. Ils sont légèrement arrondis, ce qui permet de faire facilement glisser les aliments dans un bol ou dans une poêle. La planche se nettoie bien et elle est légère. Je suis vraiment satisfaite de mon achat et je pense même procurer la grande taille. Elle ferait également un excellent cadeau!

Great cutting board. It's the perfect size for us and not too heavy. Our other cutting boards are too big to fit in our sink so this one will be perfect.

I bought the L size. It is a perfect size for my family. The reason I bought this cutting board is that the 3 separated compartment for onion, garlic or diced veggies are very useful for me. The quality of this cutting board is very good as well. Overall, it is worth the price!
