Spray Dye works well!
Works great! Just like others said, you should wear gloves so to not get the dye on your hands and have to wash your hands multiple times to remove it. The pics show the use of 2 cap fulls per 1 gallon of weed killer. It is more than enough to tell which areas your have been covered. The instructions only call for 1 ounce. Next time I will try only 1 cap full per gallon and see if it is as noticable.

Works great on dormant Bermuda.
I have a 26 gallon sprayer with a Master Mfg. boom attachment. I used 16 gallon of water, Prodiamine and 1/2 of the bottle of this blue spray marker to apply pre-emergent to my Bermuda lawn in late February. Since the grass was dormant, the blue marker was easy to see and I avoided missing any areas. I could see where people would have difficulty seeing it if you applied it to green grass. I usually apply pre-emergent in early Fall too and since the grass is still green during that application, I'm not sure that the marker would be as effective as it is in the Spring. I saw a number of people mentioning that you need to wear gloves to avoid getting the marker on your hands since it's so difficult to remove. Some areas of my yard have to be sprayed with a wand rather than using the boom. My wand sprayer started leaking while I was applying the pre-emergent, so I had the marker all over my hands. When I finished spraying, I thought I'd try some strong stuff to remove it. First I tried mineral spirits and then concrete cleaner for garage floors. Neither made any difference. I went in the house to wash off the strong solutions and used some Dawn dish washing soap and warm water and the marker came right off. Anyway, I can recommend this blue spray marker when treating dormant Bermuda lawns.

The Shroedinger Cat of landscape markers...
This is both the best, and worst, marking product I have used, and I will explain. First, for what it is supposed to do, I find the product to be great. For spraying weeds in rocks in a desert environment, I have zero complaints. Depending on how much is used (and really, VERY little is needed in a one to two gallon sprayer), I have no problems seeing what was sprayed, and what was not. It will slowly fade out over a few days to a week, and if it rains, faster than that. I'm very happy in that regard. Now, the bad. This stuff gets literally everywhere. Unless you are mixing this in a Class 1000 clean room with gloves and a full hazmat suite, expect it to end up all over the place. One misplaced drop has gotten to nearby plastic bins, the garage floor, etc. And, it's sneaky. It will lie dormant in the dryness for months until an unsuspecting bare hand, or sweaty foot makes contact with it and BAM! it's off and running all over the house. I'm on the verge of declaring my house a federal superfund site, having it condemned, burning it to the ground, and starting over. It would be easier than trying to find everywhere it has migrated. I suspect the FBI uses this stuff to trace money laundering rackets, and drug running operations. So, in short, the product works well as designed for it's intended purpose. And for you suspicious relationship types, feel free to dab a little of this on your significant other's shoes, wallet, or purse. You will be able to track them wherever they go! Enjoy.

Easy to use
This did a great job marking what we had already sprayed in yard so we weren't going over the same spots. Really makes the yard look even better than it already does!

Marks the weeds or brush that you've sprayed
I mix this with weed and brush killer so I can keep track of what I've sprayed. When spot spraying, it turns the plant dark blue. But at low concentrations the blue only lasts about an hour. That was with locoweed in very early spring, in cool weather. An hour was long enough for me to make sure I didn't miss any plants before moving on to another area. I didn't actually measure the amount added, just kind of dribbled a little bit in there.

Better than no dye
This was the first time I used dye when spraying my lawn. Worked ok, but the colorant did not last long, meaning it was hard to tell what areas had already been sprayed, which was the reason I was using the dye.
