Singles Collection 1951-62

All of the songs except THE THINGS WE DID LAST SUMMER (not on this CD) were issued on the LION label L7021 a vinyl product of MGM.The overall sound quality of the discs leaves a lot to be desired. Lots of surface noise and distortion of sound. However, much of the material hasnot appeared on CD before, so I kept the discs though not completely satisfied with them. It`s a shame that the material was not processed to sound better, because it would have been a terrific set otherwise.

I cannot believe that Amazon did not mention to us buyers that some of these selections are recordings from old 78's The sound is very poor by today's standards with several songs totally unlistenable. I am going to try and return it to Amazon. Do NOT buy this CD.

Look for the other CD by Tommy Edwards. This two CD set has even the bad songs and poor sound.

My Mother had a 45 RPM record of his recordings of Secret Love and It's All In The Game. I loved this even when I was a child. When she passed away, I inherited the record. I simply could not believe it when I checked with Amazon and there it was on a CD. I snapped one up. It is wonderful and I love everything on it. The man was a super singer. I was saddened when I read the insert. Mr. Tommy Edwards never got the recognition he deserved. I recommend this CD to everyone.

Great collection

There was nothing I didn't like about this Tommy Edwards collection. Absolutely fantastic.

First record is slow. The second one is better more like the original.

I'm a big Tommy Edwards fan. I've bought every Tommy Edwards c.d. I've been able to find. This one, however, is the best there is. All the winners are here as well as many far-less-known songs and earlier renditions of some of Tommy's best. Very highly recommended if you are a Tommy Edwards fan.

I started to play disc one, and i couldn't believe what i was hearing, the scratches were louder than the vocals, nearly all the tracks on disc one were terrible, all my favorite songs ruined, but then i tried disc two as it had most of the songs from disc one on it, strange i thought, but these were the one's i remember, and they were brilliant, good clear recordings, disc one will stay in it's case, but disc two will get a lot of play.
