Bought to fill a gap in our collection of these wonderful books.

Given as a gift to a close friend and very much appreciated by him,It was also looked at and thoroughly enjoyed by myself, my wife and my friend's wife.The quality of the photography is absolutely excellent.

This is an excellent book which is published annually and which features some really special pictures which are well reproduced. Although largely pictorial this is a volume you'll browse many times throughout the year until the next portfolio appears. A highly desirable "annual" for nature lovers.

This was another anniversary gift that the Mrs couldn't put down. Stunning photography in a well presented layout with some unusual shots you wouldn't necessarily expect

As in previous years, a sum of most inspired photos either depicting the beauty of nature, or urging us to take some action before it is too late!

Amazing photos as always, along with the staggering stories of dedicated photographers lying in soggy ditches for days as they wait for the right moment!

The photos range from the outstanding to thought provoking to disturbing, and this brings me to my dilemma, historically it has been a showcase for outstanding wildlife photos, but now is increasingly being used as a platform for eco messages.This photographic conundrum, I feel does appeal to different groups and therein lies the dilemma because the 2 do not instantly gel. Also I feel that the judges are making up categories to fit the pictures rather than the opposite way round! Don't let my issues cloud your choice in buying this book, some of the photos are outstanding others mediocre. But beware the watering down of its original intent.

Great coffee table book full of brilliant photos reminding me of 2 hrs attending the exhibition in Toronto

This is the roundup of the years best photos in a Wildlife Photography Contest. There are literally tens of thousands of entries, but these are the cream of the crop. I was fortunate to be in Bruges, Belgium this year where they had an exhibit of the winners from last year's contest, and I was awestruck. I bought last year's book at the museum, and then ordered about 5 previous years' books off Amazon when I returned to the US. When you open the book your jaw will drop page, after page, after page. The stories behind the photos are also fascinating. It's the best table top series I have ever seen, and totally worth the price. I bought 5 of these to give away as Christmas gifts this year. Of course, 1 for me to keep, and 4 to give away. You'll never go wrong with this product, and I'm looking forward to collecting all of them.

This has been the Xmas present for my husband and I never regret getting it. A must-have for anyone who is passionate about wildlife photography.
