These Do Work! Update
We had a bad infestation of fungus gnats, I tried several things to get rid of them, peroxide spray, sand on top of the compost etc, but nothing worked. I mixed a strong solution (3 tabs in 3/4 of the recommended volume of water) and soaked them in the sink, after a couple of hours I drained them and put a Anova Fruit Fly Trap on each plant, I also kept the vacuum cleaner at the ready to vacuum them up off the windows and walls. I was amazed at the numbers the traps caught, and the vacuum cleaner cleared them off windows. Pretty quickly we could see a reduction in their numbers. After 5 days again soaked them in the same solution mix. It's been 10 days now and I've only seen the odd one (none today). These gnats are a real pest and like nothing better than flying in your face or landing on your meal. Before I bought them I read several reviews, some people insisted they did not work or were too expensive which made me decide to make a stronger solution and apply it several times combined with the traps, I can honestly say these tabs work 100%, it's up to you how strong you make the solution, it hasn't effected our plants and there is virtually no sign of the little buggers.I definitely recommend using them with the traps, I go 60 of them here for £5.00 and they were a godsend, they are trapping the gnats all the time + you can visually see how many are out of the frame that otherwise would have been making even more (150 every time they lay eggs). Lastly I recommend using your vacuum cleaner with the straight attachment, they like to congregate on windows and lights, the vacuum cleaner removes them in an instant, trying to catch them is futileUpdate! We went away for a couple of weeks and when we came back we encountered a few of the little buggers, this time I was determined to see the back of them so I tried a different tactic.I filled a bucket with the above solution and completely submerged each of the plants soil for 1 hour, I then drained them on the draining board. After 5 days back into the sink with the plug in and another good soaking leaving to stand for an hour before draining. This time there is absolutely no sign of then at all, I'm going to give them another soak in the sink in a few days and then hopefully that's the end of them. It's obvious the larvae don't like being submerged and are unable to survive it.I hope this helps as I know they were driving us mad flying into your face or food all the time.

Pricy but works
Our conservatory plants were plagued with little flies this summer, I used the yellow sticky papers constantly on every plant but they weren’t stopping the breeding cycle. I finally tried these tablets dissolved in water and after a couple of times of soaking all the compost in each plant, the flies did finally disappear. Still have some tablets left to use for next year if needed. Quite a small packet, expensive to buy, but did the job.

Kills the gnats! 👍
We had a big problem with gnat infestation on a few plants and very bad on the main infested plant. The gnats were becoming a nuisance. Applied a strong mix of 5 tablets in approx 1 litre. Continuing to apply as per instructions.UPDATE:To be honest this product hasn't worked or made any difference, tried various times as a very concentrated strong liquid and minimal results. The only thing it did was make the soil wet and allow the gnat lave to multiply.Solution =I have just bought some "Nematodes" , mixed with some warmish water, watered once and it had 100% success rate and got rid of my massive gnat infestation. The nematodoes are microscopic little worms what crawl inside the gnat lave and eat it from inside out and then go to a new host once they have consumed it. Each packet had 10 million microscopic worms. Safe for humans, pets and children. If no more lave, the the nematodoes die off.Hope this helps.

Worked a treat
Had a bit of a problem with mould gnats in my house plants, these are easy to use, make no mess and they worked brilliantly, I use them all through the year to keep the little beasties away and you can mix plant food in no problem too.

Expensive, and didn't completely eliminate the problem
Found that this product did help, but it never seemed to completely get all of them. We would have a few days peace then the fruit flies would start creeping back in. Too expensive to keep buying and applying.

Two doses and no more flies!
I had a dreadful infestation of fungus flies in a few of my houseplants this summer which were driving me mad. I tried the little sticky pads to trap them, but that wasn't getting to the root of the problem. I have my plants two doses of this a few weeks apart and the flies have completely disappeared. It's great stuff and hasn't harmed the plants in any way.

Hasn't worked for me
These were an expensive mistake and I've just finished my second pack. I have a lot of houseplants and most had bad infestations of fungus gnats. I doubled the strength of the solution and all the watering seemed to do (as per the instructions) is make the flies emerge even faster as the top of the soil remained continuously moist for 8 - 10 days at a time with two applications. The yellow sticky traps however have been a God send. After several weeks I gave up and then just made sure I always watered sparingly at the base of the plants (never the top) and continued with the sticky traps. I also took my plants out of their decorative pot holders so no gnats could fly around at the base of them. Now my traps only have one or two files and nothing is flying through the air. Hopefully this will solve the problem. Please be wary of re-potting plants and washing roots to clear the flies as this did not work on some of my plants even with a strong dose of this gnat stuff immediately after. My original problem started with a compost bag and I think it's hard to find any now that are truly gnat free. I should have purchased compost specifically for house plants but that is a very expensive undertaking if you have 60 or more like me !.
