I love these- they are a lot easier to use than measuring powder. You just plop in your tank and it dissolves and works on it's own. Conditions the water as expected.

I cleaned my 20-gallon aquarium recently, and I was planning on using a couple of these balls to condition the water.But I still have some of my old, liquid water conditioner left, and after reading a caveat that these aquarium balls might cause temporary cloudiness, I decided to go with the product I've been using and save these for later.I'm sure they will work fine, but after spending hours draining, cleaning, and filling my tank, even one day of cloudiness would be a let down.

I thought I could use this is my small beta tank but it was def to powerful for that. Im sure it would be great in a 10 galloon tank

These little balls are a life saver - literally - for your fish. Tap water is full of all sorts of chemicals that can be harmful to your fish. I've got a new tank up and running, and cringe at the idea of adding tap water. I wanted to maintain my chemical balance so I was buying gallons for purified water for when I do water changes. MAN that gets expensive! Then I found these little water conditioner balls. It says it can condition 10 gallons of water, so I cut them into smaller pieces. Our water gets alot of salt build up in our tank from the water softener. I've noticed a big difference in the water quality and how clear it is .

Each Aqueon pellet can condition up to 10 gallons of tap water. By " water conditioner" it mainly refers to the removal of chlorine from tap water. This will not remove ammonia or nitrates from an already set up aquarium.It is very convenient to simply drop a pellet to prepare an aquarium for fish but you can find in the market liquids that will do the same at much cheaper price.

I appreciate how easy these are to use, but I'm not sure if they are worth their cost. A bottle of water conditioner is cheaper and can be used for a lot longer. But if you have a ten gallon tank and don't want to worry about overdosing, then this is a pretty solid option.
