Unique plot
Definitely a unique thriller I have ever read. Highly recommended for those in book slump or even for beginners starting the habit of reading..

Fast paced thriller!!
🔹 My take: 3.5/5🔸 Emilia Ward is best selling author of 9 books and the fictional detective in her books Miranda Moody is a character readers have loved. Emilia is on verge of writing her 10th book which she feels is the most difficult since she is planning to make some big changes in them and coincidentally her life starts mimicking those troubles in real life too. Strange incidents start popping up in her life and she starts connecting dots that these incidents are same to scenes she has written in her earlier books. Then an incident occurs which is identical to the scene she is writing for her current book and hell breaks loose. Emilia and her family are in danger and try to break the pattern.💖 Wows - Claire Douglas continues to be one of my favourite thriller authors. The Woman who lied starts with a bang and the thrill aspects begin from chapter 1. The writing is as always fast paced and interesting. Different characters are introduced at regular intervals and contribute to the overall story. And of course the plot of a writer writing books is always lovely to read.💔 Ows - I found the other books by the author like ‘The Couple at no. 9’ and ‘The Girls who disappeared’ better. This one had all the right elements but maybe the mystery was a tad bit predictable and hence I am unable to give it full 5 stars.💫 As a fan of Claire Douglas, I would recommend this to all thriller lovers. ⭐️⭐️⭐️✨

You're in for the twistiest of rides.
The story revolves around Emilia Ward, a bestselling author of DI Miranda Moody series, is happily married to her second husband, Elliot and two children, Wilfie and Jasmine. She's working on her tenth book in DI Miranda Moody series, Her Last Chapter.Everything was going good but then strange things started happening to her. Someone is mirroring the plots of her books, one by one to scare her but why are they targeting her? What is their motive? On the other hand, DI Janine Murray is investigating the latest case of The Praying Mantis Murderer who kills women & carve insect heads just like in DI Moody Series. When her best friend Louise is murdered, Emilia is too frightened to tell the truth about her book to the police. DI Moody's best friend is killed on the book and Emilia knows the ending of her unpublished book that DI Moody is going to be next and that means that the killer is coming for her.She starts questioning the character of everyone closest to her because only they have read her unpublished book. It means that the killer is one of them.Told from three POV's of DI Janine Murray, Emilia and Daisy, this book is one of the twistiest reads I've read this year. Characters of the book are very good. I loved the characters of Emilia, Elliot, Jonas, Daisy and DI Janine. Other characters are good.Narration of the book is buttery smooth and kept me hooked until the end. I really wanted to know how these things are connected and who's the killer.Overall, it's a brilliant mystery psychological thriller you mustn't miss.

Wellllllll.....
First of all, It's a good thing I'm retired. It's 1:00 AM and I just finished this freaking story. Is it likely? Possible? Not so sure. Did it keep me on the edge of my seat? Oh yeah. Was it a challenge trying to follow its hopscotch plot? Absolutely. Will I have trouble going to sleep thinking about it? Definitely.

the agony of best-selling author
