Unless you are considering purchasing a traditional "old-style" wooden barrel, perhaps converted from a wine cellar - this, in my opinion, has to be the next best thing for a water butt.I don't like the green plastic things with their black plastic bases, that most garden centres sell. They really are very generic, and I wanted something different.I've stood it up on a nice stone plinth, to raise it up a bit so you can put a watering can under the tap, and it really does look good against the new greenhouse. Very much recommend to anyone that wants something a little nicer than you'll likely find in the typical shops.

I just received my "oakwood effect" water butt. You failed to mention that it was the oakwood effect after a serious fire. What's this about?

Looks good but the hole where the tap fits into is constantly leaking. Tried every way possible but going to need some sort of seal to hopefully fix the problem. Would have bought another to go onto another drain pipe if this hadn't been a problem

Love this water butt, it looks really great with oak effect . Took just 30 minutes to drill hole, place on stand ,fit tap and connect to down pipe. Works perfectly.

Good solid water butt, only problem had trouble fixing the tap on not the easiest , this is the second one I have bought

Such a stylish water butt. We bought it to go in our small Zen garden, it fits the part superbly.

Wanted something that didn't look plastic but thought wood would require maintenance. We stood this on a tree log base and it settled well and pleasantly surprised by the look.far better than usual green or black plastic in looks especially where it's situated.

I bought this water butt as wanted something abit more classy and different looking to go next to our new conservatory!I was really pleased with my purchase!
