The Elemental Equilibrium: Notes on the Foundation of Magical Adepthood Paperback – October 9, 2017

This book did a wonderful job of getting me to start using IIH techniques I might have otherwise ignored. Building the soul mirror was fairly difficult until I started reading this and gave me a solid foundation to build my magic mirrors and the character transformation that must follow. And while elements are not discussed too deeply in this book it gives you some solid directions to find blog posts and books that do explain it in depth. If the soul mirrors don't click right away for you I would consider this required reading. I felt like no time was wasted with the endeavor. It has benefited me greatly. Thank you, Virgil.

An essential book for students of Franz Bardon's Initiation into Hermetics.In a frank and no-nonsense way, it gives a lot of well structured and practical guidance on how to achieve the elemental equilibrium. The "six-pronged attack [on disbalance]" is a proper magic tool belt, and a step-by-step real world example of constructing "soul mirrors" (inventories of one's elemental qualities) is also present.All these make the book supremely practical and useful to anyone interested in magic that works.

If you're planning on taking the Barton Path to Hermetic Initiation this is not recommended reading it is indeed required reading. I cannot overstate the exhaustive measures the author took to address one of THEE MOST IMPORTANT aspects of the Hermetic Initiation through this Path, Elemental or Magical Equilibrium . You will not succeed in this Path with accomplishing this equilibrium and thankfully this is so because it would be unsafe to move on without it. This is the foundation your entire soul will be built upon , and the author does a excellent job , with giving us the tools to conquering our lower selves , and shaping our souls , thereby shaping our destiny. I'm very grateful for this text and for the authors detailed explanations. From a literary stand point this is also just a great read I found myself literally laughing out loud quite a few times .

If you are working through Franz Bardon's Initiation into Hermetics, this book will really help you understand the elements, how they interact in your character, and how you might more effectively bring mind, spirit and body into elemental equilibrium, or 'equipoise' as other authors call it. Virgil's presentation of what he calls the 'six pronged approach' is very good. It can make the difference between being stuck and moving on. If you are serious about Bardon's spiritual path, you need all the help you can get and this is a good, helpful book. I do recommend it.

The Author does an excellent job of rehashing and expanding on the techniques of self transformation in Bardons IIH. He discusses Conscious Breathing, eating, washing and Autosuggestion in a very approachable way and addresses some of the questions a beginner might have starting out. The language is fairly casual to the point where the author will throw in an "lol" here and there. It sometimes reads like a paperback blog post, complete with Url links to articles of interest to the author. Was not the in-depth examination on the elements I had hoped for but this is a wonderful book for those interested in self transformation. The tools presented, and the authors ability to gracefully pass them on to the reader are invaluable.

I bought the book "The Elemental Equilibrium".Thank you Virgil, for sharing your wisdom and practical knowledge with us.This book is worth reading every word in it and it improved my own awareness about very important issues, specially regarding the importance of the initial astral work of the book "Initiation Into Hermetics". Regardless of whether you follow the Bardon's system or not, it is something essential in any truly magical path.I liked very much the tips you give for organizing the Soul Mirrors too. Just that is reason enough to read the book.

A must have for everyone who practicing Bardon's Initiation into Hermetics.If you want to success the course of Initiation into Hermetics you cannot neglect "Elemental Equilibrium".This is the core of your training as the treshold of very first step.Virgil do great explain how important of Elemental Equilibrium and analyzing how to get it by six-pronged attack.Even you are not Bardonist student you can use Elemental Equilibrium to make your life better.

For various reasons, I think many have misconceptions about the astral exercises; I know I did. This book provides greater clarity with contemporary examples.

This book could be a part of IHH itself. It's being a tremendous useful to my practice, without this book the subject of soul mirror would stay with many blind spots. This's a must have for those practicing Franz Bardon's System of Magic.

Marvelous. A must read for anyone who is on the Bardonian path to initiation.

An absolutely marvelous book. Virgil has a great down to earth approach which makes Bardon's path seem more real and approachable, though he doesn't sugarcoat the work involved. The material on the soul mirrors is invaluable. It helped me understand a lot about the process of introspection and i learned a great deal from this book, despite practicing with the system for seven years. Cannot recommend this book highly enough for any serious student of Bardon's.
