Not well put together.
The cover looks good, but the book is poorly put together. It does not included all the Federalist papers and does not include all amendments to the Constitution. The Federalist and Anti Federalist papers are mixed in with one another. Not a professional looking quality.

This is not light reading, it is important reading.
The Federalist papers were considered the basis of our democracy. For most of our history, until recently they were the basis for most Supreme Court decisions as they defined what the founders intended. This volume has the best of both sides of the debate, and shows the growth and refining of the system we have lived under. All the debate and defining documents that redefined the way that people would live and govern themselves. Ideals which spread across the world. From a time when almost all people owed homage to some elite, to one where very few are ruled without input.Debate that sadly would be virtually impossible today lead to hope and opportunity for those who had none. Even if the people who implemented it were less than perfect, defined by the world they lived in, and forced to Sacrifice some of their ideals to begin the journey, even if that growth has been fitful and lurched forward and back, it is the genius of the system and the debate that defined it that while the system and core values remain inviolate there is path for growth. It is designed to continue the struggle to become the vision. The more it feels the system will fail the more important it is to recall why the system is defined the way it is. How important it is to protect the primary rights. That Open debateAnd differing opinions are inherent, and necessary to the survival of our way of life. The contract is not for the Government to grant rights, protect your rights. The contract defines how you will protect and respect others inherent rights so that they will protect and respect yours, and the responsibilities you accept in becoming a member. The Government is the method we have of Moderating disagreements over how those rights and responsibilities will be exercised. This is not light reading, it is important reading.

Ótima compra
O livro chegou no prazo e é exatamente o que estava descrito no saite.

Poor
Contents page poorly formatted so difficult to follow. Federalist papers are not set out chronologically but rather in a confusing thematic manner. Federalist No. 56 appears to be missing. Federalist No. 57 appears twice. There is no index.

Correspondence between framers of the US Constitution
These papers comprise much of the debate about details included/excluded in the U.S. Constitution. Without them, the story is incomplete. The papers show the sincerity and concern of the framers of the Constitution. They are not light reading nor are they so weighty that they present a quagmire of information. The role they played in the founding of our government is impressive. There is passion and reason in the Papers which were written under pseudonyms. This collection serves as a great accompaniment with government classes. I used them as an adjunct text to the Hillsdale course, "Constitution 101".I highly recommend this text.M.E. Rahn
