Bought this for a worn out firepit where pan had rusted through. Was a little larger than opening but was able to cut ring welded in and fit perfect. Nice stainless pan and should last longer this time. Flame out is nice. Happy with product and price.

I purchased this kit to upgrade the burner in an old propane fire pit. Wow! What a difference. This burner puts out 30,000 btu more than the one it replaced. The flames are well dispersed across the fire pit and put out a lot more heat.There are a couple criticisms that I can pass on, however. The "manual" and installation instructions are very generic, with much of the information not applying to the specific unit that I purchased. Some of the parts, especially the mounting plate for the valve and igniter had to be significantly modified in order to work.The installer will need tools to cut and drill the stainless steel plate. Also there are no included instructions as to where to place the igniter. I guessed wrong. As a result, the igniter takes a few seconds to work. THIS SITUATION LEADS TO AN IMPORTANT WARNING!Because the igniter does not work instantly, excess propane often "pools" under the burner and then lights EXPLOSIVELY! I was not expecting this and was positioned too close to the fire pit when the explosion occurred, singing my eyebrows and hair. I suffered no permanent injury and should have been more careful.Users should take care to only open the valve slightly when using the provided igniter. Until I figure out the safest way to use the electric igniter, I may just use a propane fire stick that allows me to start the burner from a safer distance.While I recommend that users take appropriate care when installing and lighting this burner, I am very happy with the product as my overall rating confirms. I highly recommend that the manufacturer rewrite their installation instructions to be more complete and specific to this particular product. While I take full responsibility for the singed hair, a little warning about the potentially explosive ignition would have been appreciated.

I’ve been building fire tables as a side business for a while now, I was happy to find that they now sell these with the cover. The quality seems pretty good to me as some of these have lasted over two years now with no incident. Highly recommend you mount them flush inside of your project because they will bend if the edges are exposed and not reinforced. Check them for dents and Ben’s when they’re delivered…. Not because of manufacture defects, but because some delivery companies drop kicking all the way across the United States and they show up looking like a crushed Coke can. So I suppose the only reason it doesn’t get five stars is because the material could be a bit thicker.

The item was well priced I was able to replace the larger round burner with this one. I had to modify my base so the screw holes would fit. works well

Heavy gage, stainless steel, quality materials and construction. Not a piece of punched out tin that comes with even high priced fire pits. My fire pit, new, was $2000 and is a beautiful, well built piece of our yard furniture. Yet the pit itself corroded and rusted out within 5-years due to cheap materials and bad design to prevent water getting into the pit and the control components below. I rebuilt the entire internals to the pit and this insert amazed me by its robust material selection and construction. Great gas distribution, large feed tube that results in a balanced flame with plenty of heat output. Well worth the longer than usual wait for delivery. It was well packed, arrived without issue and dropped into the opening perfectly.

This is a nice unit, built well and puts out some BTU’s.

Buy a 0 to 20 regulator for this product when hooking up to a propane tank. You can blow Flames 6 ft in the air.

Liked the pan and burner very much. Seems well built and fit our existing firepit (was replacing a rusted out unit). Was disappointed that it did not come with the filler plate for the opening to install the spark igniter and safety thermocouple head. Made my own, but would have been great to have one come with the burner and pan.
