Some warm notalgia mixed with a cautionary tale
The author co-starred in the last season of the popular TV sitcom HAZEL. There are plenty of stories here about her co-stars and other nostalgia. By the same token, it would be an understatement to say that she married badly. Perhaps being a child star sheltered her from some of the realities of life. Nevertheless, she finally finds some happiness after years of difficulty as an adult.

Both Interesting and Heart Wrenching
This book is a must read for any fan of the "Hazel" TV show. Julia tells interesting and humorous stories about the year she was on the show as the Baxter's daughter Susie during 1965-66.But the reader may need to hold back tears while reading later chapters. As an adult, her son's father left her to raise their child alone. When she later married, the word cruelty inadequately describes the horrible treatment she received at his hands.Overall, this is a heartfelt book that will engage the reader in Julia's remarkable story.

Julia Benjamin is one in a million!
I loved this book. I loved the way she described her life on television and in movies. I especially loved her friendship with Bobby Buntrock, and her love for Shirley Booth and Lynn Borden. Some of the adults in her life, the celebrities were mean. I cried when I read about her life as an adult and how she and her son survived alone.

Susie, You ARE A Doozie!
Fascinating story of a true Hollywood survivor. Julia Benjamin shares anecdotes about being on the Screen Gems lot when it was producing some of TV's most classic shows. She herself was featured in HAZEL in it's final season, as the "new" Baxter's daughter, Susie. Her heartwarming recollections of starring on that sunny sitcom are counterbalanced by the horrific events which unfolded for her years later. This lady is a true survivor, and she shares her remarkable life with us.

Very disappointing
The author’s battle with her ex husband is not only boring but irrelevant to readers seeking more stories about Hazel and other tv shows from the same era.
