Humourous,well written,honest,account of a terrible situation
This book is very insightful, and David Lander, of Laverne and Shirley game, is an often underrated comedian also. Here he shows his strengths in the face of this horrible illness, by learning to laugh at his misfortunes, symptoms, and situation. I admire that ability. Obvious to anyone who knows what sarcasm is, and has seen his character of Squiggy, the title is supposed to be stupid sounding. Dave clearly comprehends that no one "catches" MS. This is a title not meant to insult or misinform, but rather to celebrate his most well known characters having been stupid in that way. It is something Squiggy would have said, that's all. People who are upset any the title, clearly misunderstand the reason behind it. Dave has had a difficult battle with his health. He keeps a funny outlook, and also educates himself as he goes along, and I think this story would really cheer up many MS sufferers, and others who just want to know alike. This is an easy read, written in a simple way so that people if of various vocabulary levels will all understand. It is not a bunch of technical jargon, Dave does not try to sound like he knows it all. This is supposed to be a light read, about a serious illness and topic, meant to cheer up and give humour to a dread circumstance.I really liked that. If you cannot find humour in a bad situation, this may not be for you. However, I can, and this was for me. I enjoyed this book very much.

Funny and touching.
I care for a lady with MS, and I wanted to read something to help me better understand what she is going through. This book is a excellent combination of brutal honesty, information, and humor. Mr. Lander (no s!) openly shares the fears and difficulties he faced while dealing with MS, the daily ups and downs of its symptoms, and also offers a surprisingly frank look at having physical problems in the cut-throat acting business and his struggles to keep his diagnosis hidden for years.

Fall Down Laughing
An easy read and a must read for anybody who knows a person with MS. The feelings that David has are universal and may be new information for those of us seeking knowledge.

Go Squiggy! We love you.
We loved Squiggy's performances on Laverne and Shirley, so it was interesting to read about his real life struggles and also his successes. You Rock, Squiggy!

Outstanding book
Mr. Lander is to be commended for this exceptionally well presented book. I guess it shouldn't be surprising since he has long been appreciated as a fine writer and performer. I work in a rehab center library and can honestly say that this book has received enormous praise among both people with MS and their friends and family. On a personal level, I found the story very moving. I can't imagine how difficult it must be to come to grips with MS, and to come out publicly with it while working in an industry that is not overly kind to physical problems. I recommend this book to anyone who wants a greater understanding of living with MS. But also, on another level, this is a great story about how a talented man initially broke into show business. I am glad to see that he is still working.

A Real-Life Hero
I absolutely loved this book, cover to cover, and I thank Mr. Lander so much for writing it. My favorite part is when he says he could have cancelled an appearance on a very difficult day, but he didn't because feels he has to set an example for others. We are lucky to have such a one as him in our midst. My hat is off to him!

So good to hear David Lander's (Squiggy's) story in his own way. He is a lovely, intelligent man.

Interesting and engaging.
It's not high literature, just an ordinary guy describing his illness in a way that really makes you understand it. A very quick and easy read. The fascinating thing is really the lengths he went to to keep it a secret for 15 years, and what a relief it was when he finally "fell out of the closet". He's got a great sense of humor and puts you at ease with MS while giving good insight.
