Skip these and get a name brand for your fingers’ sake
I sew quite a bit, and when I saw these, i instantly thought they were a great idea and would be really useful. When I got them, the first issue I could see was that the measurements were really difficult to read, as the impressions were so faint...i had to keep turning the clip various ways to try to read it. As I did so, I understood what other reviewers were saying about how sharp these are. I honestly would much rather get poked with a pin than get my finger sliced open, which these seem sharp enough to do. Who wants to bleed all over their latest project? When i searched to find a similar product in another brand, I realized there are at least a dozen sellers on Amazon selling these exact same clips. I would skip them and go with a name brand like Singer or Dritz. If you don’t need the measurements on them, get some jumbo bobby pins instead, at least they’re coated, so you can’t cut yourself. I hope this helps! :)

Off-Label Use
To be honest, I did not find the hem clips to be particularly useful for hems on my last woven project. I use a blind hem stitch and found the Wonder clips to be more useful there because they're shorter and easier to move when you are folding over. But the larger hem clips do work really well for folding and laying out fabric for cutting, especially on thicker fabrics like this ponte. I use a rotary cutter and self-healing mat, so I also find these hem clips quite useful for, say, holding the pattern lined up with the fold line, or holding together the sides you have already cut.

Very sharp metal - not for klutzes!
These are so sharp I haven’t been able to use them. It seemed like a good idea but they really are too sharp to use. Maybe someone more skilled would know how to use them in such a way that it wouldn’t matter—not sure. I’m not taking a chance trying to manipulate these, but if they weren’t so sharp they’d come in handy during hemming and similar sewing.

Dangerous Product
Major issue with your product - the edges of clips are so sharp that it cut my finger deep on the 1st use and on the same day one my co-workers had the same experience, this clips are very dangerous, I threw them in the trash later that day.

Bought These For Maskmaking
I was new to mask making, new to sewing in general. During CV19, I happened to have a sewing machine and materials to learn how to make masks. I spent several weeks perfecting my technique. This included ordering these. They were perfect for what I used them for - in lieu of pinning my pleats, I used these to hold down my edges (post ironing) as I ran them through my BROTHER machine. They were perfect for what I used them for (assembly line mask making for my community). I'm sure they'll come in handy for other future projects. They are sturdy, with measurements listed, and had a firm grip when clipped to the project.

thinking of returning.
I bought these to help hem a long dress. The first two that were put on the bottom of the dress caused snaggs in the fabric. thank goodness it is the back of the dress at the bottom hem. I don't think it will get noticed. These are very unfinished on the edges of the clips causing the rough edges to snag the fabric. Be careful. I don't think I want to take the chance on these hurting any future fabric.

Love these things
Used for making drapes where there are long sides and bottom hems and a lot of measuring. These helped cut down on time consuming measuring and pinning.

Great multitasking tool.
This worked well for making even pleats in fabric for tie dying. After measuring and folding they were used to hold several pleats in place and were sturdy and accurate for this purpose. I rarely have time to finish a piece in one sitting, and held up well even with being moved and stored again daily. Accuracy is not required too be exact for this craft, I am sure they would hold up well for projects that do. They served well as a multipurpose tool and could be used in just about any craft I can imagine.

Very convenient fabric ruler.
The built in rulers on the clips makes it very convenient for keeping a consistently-sized cut. The fact that they're steel make it nice that you can cut right up to the clips without damaging them. Great for fabric like cotton fabric or heavier. The clips have a decently strong grip to stop it from moving around. However, this is not good to use on light and delicate fabric. The grip of the clips are strong enough that slide on light fabric may cause it to stretch, or worse yet, rip. Overall, the product works like it's supposed to, and cutting edges very neat!

Not just for hemming
I love these clips! I use them for everything; like securing a pattern piece to the fold of fabric for cutting and for threading elastic waistband not to mention for hemming. Love that they have measurements marked on them and they're metal so I can iron over them to press a hem before hemming. Excellent tool for blind hemming when you need to secure the flip of the fabric. I adore these!

Sharp, can cut you easily
Very sharp! As a sewist I'm used to being careful around things like blades and pins, but these were something else. Barely brushed against it and sliced my finger open. Would not recommend.
