Chimney Sheep 6 inch extension rod

Following complaints of a draught in our lounge I decided to try the Chimney Sheep and the initial results is that it works well. I think it is important to get the size right as fitting takes a bit of fiddling around to make sure that it blocks the chimney completely. I also think it is a good idea to drop it down overnight and during the day to allow condensation to disappear. The real test will be a windy cold winters evening but so far so good

Makes sheep installation easier

I have written a review on the main product and in it described that the handles provides are too short and therefore I needed to purchase an extension rod. It is a sturdy plastic rod that screws into the other rods provided with the product. It works but I feel a little annoyed that such a thing is required in the first place.

I knew what it was when buying, but I needed two so had no choice. I think £3 each is steep for what is just a tube of plastic. The product works as described, but come on you know you are well overcharging for something that is worth 50p at most!

Needed it but over priced for what it is.

This item is exactly as decribed. It screws on to the handle of the chimney draft excluder (the 'sheep'), so that, if like me, your flu is at an awkward height and angle, you can see that the excluder is in place thus stopping you unwittingly lighting a fire before removing it.

The supplied rod is short and I recommend anyone buying a Chimney Sheep get this short extension rod. The extra length ensures that anyone can see there is an obstruction in the flue.
