Highly recommend
I bought this book because of my love of nature and science, and I thought I'd learn a thing or two, but wow! I was not expecting to love this book so much. Nature's Wild Ideas is a surprisingly lyrical exploration of nature-inspired inventions. I've already begun sharing these stories with friends and family. The book is packed with amazing science, fun bits of humor, and philosophical musings. I don't write reviews too often but I really enjoyed this book.

Remarkable
Consistently playful and pleasing voice and tone throughout with nice narrative approach. Amazing compilation of complex studies and observations via researcher interviews into a coherent theme—technology draws from nature. Stylistically, uncommonly clean copy. Original in concept and very enlightening.

Super engaging; science but doesn't *feel* like science
Reading this book is like reading some of the best, most descriptive, fiction except...it's not fiction! What a fun way to learn things I guarantee you didn't know before. Consider this book "gateway science". If you don't like science books, this book is for you. If you do like science books, this book is also for you. I highly recommend it!

An unputdownable book full of amazing insights that ties together the worlds of nature and engineering. We do live in a marvelous world of the Mother Earth and it is mind-boggling how much we can learn by studying it. Kristy Hamilton does a phenomenal work of taking you on a journey through sea, land and air to show a multitude of examples where Nature inspires us to innovate. I'll definitely be in a lookout for more books from this author in the future.

Inspiring Young Minds to Be Scientists
My daughter and I read this book together. As a professional scientist, my heart melted when I heard her tell me she wanted to “do science” when she grew up. Thanks Kristy for the inspiration! Looking forward to more from this author to keep the inspiration going for our young readers.
