I checked the ads for many professional car diagnostic scanners on the Amazon. After careful analysis, I found out that this is the latest version released.As described in the ad, it can support the latest 2024 models. I've been a professional machinist for almost 10 years now :-), and I've used every professional grade scan tool you can think of, Snap-on,MATCO, Autel, etc., and I think this DYNO has the most wide range of compatibility. This new x431 pro dyno is packed with features! Does everything I need it to do and more! The operation is fast and stable, and the interface is clear. The VIN code can be automatically recognized when connected to the car, and the corresponding vehicle model diagnostic menu page can be easily located. This smart puppy has improved my work efficiency more than a little bit :-)

I’ve used many different brands of scan tools and this one has the most bang for buck. The user interface is easy to understand, quick, and has many functions. With they system scan it does a good job discovering what is and isn’t equipped on the vehicle and can provide the trouble codes from there. I enjoy that fact that I can save the vehicles health report and quickly pull it up with easy to read faults. I have tried the FCA auto auto and the scan tool works well with it. In the future I would like to expand its capability and purchase the oscilloscope. Overall it’s a powerful and versatile scanner.

Great value! So many features great for any skill level from DYI to Pro. Great size for quick scans with bi-directional control making diagnosing issues a breeze. Plus the add-ons for future use just a great all around package.

I wanted to spend some time with this tool before leaving a review. It turns out, I'm even more impressed with this tool than when I bought it. The Launch x431 PRO DYNO is an OEM level scan tool that is capable of doing most of the things that OEM level scan tools can do, for THOUSANDS of dollars less. This tool starts up quickly (not starting quickly is one of my pet-peeves, and this one is awesome), it is easy to navigate, has quick reset functions like SAS, EPB, Oil Life, Etc.. But it also can do so many other things. This may not be the best scan-tool for the novice, but it is easy to learn to use and understand so the curve is not so steep. If you are looking for a new go-to tool, take a good look at this thing!

Seems to be a good scanner. I tried it on my 2011 Silverado and 2014 Dodge Durango. Although it shows different trims on both, one is an LT and it shows LTZ and the other is Limited, and it shows Crew. It worked to relearn the throttle body and crankshaft sensor on my Durango, by-directional controls seem good. Can also change tire size, type, and pressure values which is a plus for a 4x4 truck. I tried to enable while moving settings on my Uconnect system on my Durango, but after eight minutes, I canceled it because it did not do it. There are many help links that do not work. I could not find a way to change the vin on a gps radio for my Silverado, it might not be able to do that but I hope they update it and include that feature. Seems to work better on my Durango than on my Silverado. I only work on my family vehicles and this is a nice tool to have.

Bought one of these as an additional scan tool for my company, and I love it! It has 3 most important features for diagnostics: ECU coding, Bi-directional Control, and all system diagnostics. These features cover all the cars we’ve worked on so far. The scanner hasn’t missed a code, and it has recommendations for repairs too. This is very similar to the Launch x431 pad v tool that we have. Would recommend!

As a professional technician that owns a shop, I have found that no one Scan Tool is the end all and be all, every on has pro and cons. That is why we have over 10 different tools, where one may fail another may work. The Launch is a great tool for interfacing on all brands, but has a few features on the European vehicles others do not have. It is a great tool to have for hobbyist or professional.
