I think that you will find that there are enough shades of red/burgundy that it will be quite beautiful. I recommend that you try it. Remember, you can always return it. Q: What size pillows will fit in the case?

These covers are 18 x 18 and I managed to stuff an 18 x 18 JC Penney's pillow into them. It took some nudging & squeezing to get the corners stuffed and aligned, but I did it. It is stuffed pretty tight and as a result the pillow is solid - not the best for laying on. But I bought them for decorative taste and not function. These covers are pretty and well made, in my opinion.

The background on mine is beige. Bought in 2018 different dye lots may be different from mine.
