Value for money, and surprisingly good quality!
Great welder for the price and was extremely impressed the day I opened it for the ease of use regards arc welding. Managed to see the current to the rod using the digital display and repaired the steel chair bracket with no mucking around, strong clean weld instantly, the best arc welder I have ever used.I also purchased some blue tungsten, a reactive welding mask a got myself a hobby weld pure argon gas bottle and regulator from my local welding supplies shop and have done some rewarding tig welding. Working with Stainless showed some instant quality results, on a flat level surface, and I am looking forward to doing some real work later.I have also tried Aluminium, my best results were from my first few inches of 2mm plate, showing some promise, butI have some experience to gain before I do anything complicated, but I can create a good clean pool and create a small weld that looks the part. The welder is great, and my initial set-up for AC in Aluminium was good and created a good clean weld. I was also pleased there was no leak of argon from the unit, something I have seen raised in some budget units.I have had this a couple of months, and the only thing to fault is the poor mask (only suitable for a spectator), but then, I didn't expect to have one supplied. The quality is impressive, and it works extremely well. We will see if it lasts in due course. If I have a problem, I will update this review!

great kit for the money!
for the money i cant complain the mma welds are great and i can get a good looking weld on stainless and mild steel with the tig on dc not really tried ac yet but will get round to itonly problem i had was the amp lcd screen wasnt working but as i suspected it had come unplugged inside maybe during transit. took 2 mins to resolve.it dose everything i need and makes a good addition to my home workshop and has replaced my relic of a tig that broke after 18 years. so if your looking for a cheaper option i would recommend

Fan bloody tasic
I brought this machine to do high amp Ali Tig welding and it hasn't skipped a beat, I've been running the machine at around 210 - 240 amps on the daily for a few weeks and bugger me she has been constant, really strong HF start, nice steady arc throught the weld.Really impressed with this machine considering the price tag.I have done some stainless with it and again it's been fantastic, I haven't had a change to test the MMA as of yet but can't see it being an issue. My recommendation would be to buy one.

Good welder, display is useless.
Welder comes with 3 digit LED display, capable of displaying all the settings, this is usually standard on welders and I expected this welder to be the same, this display is useless. It does the job, however it's very frustrating that the display only shows the current when you press the trigger (the time you would not be looking at it), it shows no other settings.I expected the display to adjust and stay on as you turned the dials, like other welders do.You basically have to guess what the other settings are by looking at the max and min values printed around the dials. This, to me, is annoying, there is no way to confirm that the dial is actually on the setting you want.Other users have stated they mark the dials with a permanent marker to overcome this problem. That being said, value for money is excellent. 3 stars because of the display, ROHR could have done much better for not much extra work on their part.

good welder for the price, but read the instrutions
Good welder, instructions could be improved as some elements are missing and some sentances just stop mid flow. But it TIG's fine and stick/mma is easy. great machine to start with.

Brilliant welding plant!
Absolutely brilliant welder!! I've been welding away with this plant for about 4 years now and not a single issue with it. Does every job required, very easy to set up and use, heavy duty build quality. Would recommend a welding trolley as it is heavy to lift. All around great performance. Would highly recommend!!

Avoid this junk!
Unfortunately, in trying to save a little money on a welder, I’ve ended up with a pretty good scratch start tig which is as useful to me as a bag of broken frogs. The machine arrived with what can only be described as a JOKE welding helmet. A plastic snap together affair with a shade 11 snap in glass, hand held...HAND HELD.? Kinda tells you of the thoughts and level of knowledge put into these things. As for welding, in DC mode, it worked fine, bear in mind, the Pulse function is pretty dire, as the slowest I could ever get the pulse set to was about 3 per second, nowhere near the requirements for some jobs. That then brings me to the big elephant in the room. The HF start....or lack of in the end.At first it would work really nicely, but after about a day of use, it’s given up the ghost. You now have to press the button and scratch start the arc! I already have a scratch start tig setup, so this was a big disappointment. As for Ally welding, again, it’s hit and miss, as it seems the Frequency knob does diddly squat, so the only adjustment is clean width (or otherwise know as AC Balance)Now this was the final straw, as it may as well be just an old square wave 60hz trans machine.Sadly, I have asked the seller for help, and been blanked on email, told to deal with Amazon. They also refuse to pay for a return postage for a faulty machine, so I’d stay far away from both machine and seller

Well priced and a good starter unit
I've been impressed with the quality of this product, I wanted a welder capbale of AC/DC for aluminium and this was the best priced option I could find with good reviews.
