Very poor quality wears down after the first month

I have a couple of older F.Dick steels and they have turned hardwood grips. I was looking forward to that and was somewhat let down when it arrived with a synthetic handle.Oh well, I'm sure the synthetic is cleaner in use.The fit and finish quickly made me NOT miss the hardwood handle!
