Great sound!
Loud enough to get the kids to stop but won't bust your eardrums.

Hygienic and effective
Love this whistle. When using the ordinary whistle, the kids had a tendency to look to see when it was placed to the Coach's mouth and react. With this whistle, they have to concentrate fully as I keep it in my hands . The sound quality is loud enough outdoors and indoors.I really like the hygienic aspect as sometimes my Assistant or the kids use the whistle and there is fear of transferred saliva . Super whistle. I would definitely recommend.

Not for pet training!
Item received 2 days after order. This is a 2-pack of whistles with batteries included, so they work right out of the box. Each whistle includes a lanyard and a soft drawstring bag. They are comfortable in the hand. The quality seems very good. There are 3 slightly different tones which are all very shrill and loud, similar to a smoke alarm. I ordered these because the description says there is a volume control, but the whistles I received have NO volume control.The description mentions using these for pet training. I was hoping to use them to signal time end in dog agility trials, but these whistles are so shrill and loud, they send my dogs into hiding. Do NOT use these around animals! Unless you are hiking or camping and need to scare off predators – they would probably work for that.If you need a very loud, shrill whistle that you don't have to put in your mouth, this is recommended. I am deducting one star for the description saying there is a volume control and recommending use for pet training, both of which are not the case.

These were great to have.
I've been a football coach for a long time And these are phenomenal. Battery lasts a long time. Sound is great. Good value for the money and very easy to use
