Great for decorative pieces, not for working items. Be careful to check the tip of the pen for plastic tags which will cause your embroidery to pull.

The screw on the pen did not do up tight enough so could not use it

Great product! Very easy to sew and love the colours. Also comes a lot tools to help me,will introduce to my friends who love crafting.

The screw does not tighten fully so when tension is applied as you punch through fabric, it slips up and the thread is pulled out, rendering this useless. I managed to temporarily 'fix' the issue by wrapping an elastic band around the screw but this shouldn't be necessary. This also means I cannot adjust the needle length or rethread the needle without taking the band off.The premise of the kit itself is great, but without fixing this manufacturing error, the pen is unusable. Very frustrating. I will be looking for a better quality punch needle.

This product just doesn't work! I baught this as a gift for my mum, she has arthritis in her hands so I thought this would help. She lives 5 hrs away from me so by the time I was made aware she'd tried to use it with no success. I tried to use it when I saw her next, but even I couldn't get the thread to stay put, I tried knotting the first stitch, but the thread just kept coming straight back out of the cloth. Both of us have watched many videos and spent a long time trying it on various types of cloth too. So I can say hand on heart......this is a total waste of money, although the butterfly patches which come with it are gorgeous.

I like this magic embroidery set it gives me more creative things to do

Not as easy to use as it makes out, couldn’t get it to work at all not the best purchase I’ve ever made, at least I can use the thread for other things
