I finished this book in two days, couldn’t put it down excellent read with a great ending.

An epic psychological horror.. the fear factor just never lets up. Yrsa’s knowledge of the manipulator shines throughout this tale.It’s a mix of adventure, crime, Icelandic noire, and edge of your seat reading, which I highly recommend.

Big fan of Yrsa's series Freyja & Hulder so when I saw this for .99p on kindle and read the synopsis it was purchase made quickly. I really enjoyed the way the book was set out with 3 stories running along side each other. Cleverly woven together so you were kept guessing to how they came together (even the cat) but this not revealed to the final chapter. Very atmospheric, pacy and mysterious. Great read. So much better than Ragnor Jonasson's Outside ( I loved The Mist) which was similar to one of the stories but did not create anyway near the stark feeling of despair or loneliness that Yrsa did in this book. Great read.
