Maurice Franklin 2" Round Open Screen Vents are meant to fit securely in a hole cut by a 2" hole saw.

Q: How is this item packaged? I see a lot of bad reviews stating the item arrived damaged. Has packaging been updated to fix this issue?

They are in bags within a box whenever I received them. I never had any damaged vents. They are easy to install as long as you have a 2 inch hole saw

Q: What thickness material can tabs be bent on?

The thickest I've tried is .177" (3/16"). If you go 1/4"it might be pushing it.
