Great choice for dual purpose thermometer.
This KIDLEDUCT Indoor Outdoor Thermometer is a fine choice. I am using two displays, two Transmitters. It was trivial to set them up. For each display decide which transmitter you prefer and set up the other on an alternate channel. They support three channels if you have that many transmitters. The accuracy seems fine; matching other thermometers that I have. I like the feature to light up temporarily when you tap them. The transmitters are easy to install and the units communicate fine at distances of about 40 feet in my case.I don't recall the instructions being particularly useful. Just do what is logical and all will go well.Nice surprise; I had to replace the batteries on one display but did not have to do anything to reconnect or reset afterwards. These were a good replacement for more expensive units I bout about ten years ago.

Easy to Read; Easy to Set Up
Very pleased. Arrived on time and intact. Took me all of 1 minutes to set up. I can easily read it from 10+ feet away and so far it's very accurate.

So far, so good
Edited after several week's use: Since I live in Alaska, I wanted a wireless outdoor sensor that was capable of measuring low temperatures. Many only go down to the teens or 20s Fahrenheit. This one is rated for -40 F, which should suffice on all but our coldest days. The display is much smaller than the large table-top LaCrosse weather station it replaced (which had a failed remote sensor), but is easy to read. I mounted it on a wall at eye level. I like the fact it uses AA and AAA batteries, but will be interested to see how long they last in cold temperatures. The LaCrosse used C or D cells. The remote sensor is not supposed to get wet, making placement a bit challenging. For accurate temperature measurements, you don't want to put these right next to the house, on an external wall or under an open porch roof. So I invented a solution. I cut the top off a small used water bottle, put the sensor inside the inverted bottle, then shoved a crumpled plastic shopping bag into the mouth of the bottle to hold the unit in place. Some air can exchange between the inside of the bottle and the ambient environment, but no rain or snow can get on the sensor. I put a silicone rubber hair tie around the bottle and zip tied the inverted bottle to a large shrub a few feet from the north side of my house. For most of the year, the unit will be in the shade. Only during the three or four weeks on either side of our summer solstice will the sun shine on it, making temperature readings inaccurate at these times. The unit's relative humidity readings are consistent with the NWS's mesonet station near my house, but its temperature reading is several degrees lower than both that station, and two other external thermometers located close to the house. I may try calibrating it with my Fischer Scientific mercury thermometer, but meanwhile will add a few degrees F to its overly pessimistic values.

Works great
Our new house thermostat didn't have a connection for the outdoor temperature which I always used to check so I thought I'd try this. Works great! I hung it right by the thermostat so it's convenient when checking on it and the inside temp. it's easy to read, connected by the wi-fi easily from the outside unit that I hung on our covered front porch. Easily hung with a magnetic hook through the window screen. It also reads the inside temp and is consistent with the house thermostat so I'm guessing it's pretty accurate. Good purchase. Haven't had it long enough to comment on battery life.

Great product! High resolution display, read sensor from long distance
Best value for the dollar I've seen in a long time. This is the 2nd one I've purchased to replace other "brand name" units that cost more and did not work as well. Best features are the clear, easy to read display, ability to read the outdoor sensor from a long way away through several walls, simple controls, ease of setup, and motion sensor triggered back light that makes the display even easier to read in low light situations. I have not had them long enough to comment on battery life, and don't have a 3rd source to calibrate accuracy. All I can say is that the 2 units I have agree with each other when the remote sensors are in the same place.

Good visuals and simple temp setup BUT.....
I bought this items specifically to get a low temperature alert. We have a detached heated garage that we keep at about 50 degrees all winter to ensure the numerous glues and chemicals don't freeze. I needed to tell at a glance what the temperature there is, and I wanted the alarm to let me know if it dropped below 45 in order to have time to go out and set up an alternative to the gas furnace to be sure things don't freeze in there. This gizmo has both a high and low parameter setting. Unfortunately, it topped the low temp at 40 degrees or less and the high at 80 or more, completely eliminating the bracket that I needed. I don't know if it malfunctioned or if it was designed that way, but the 'hole' in the temperature range for the alarm was exactly where I needed the thing to trigger. I looked through the instructions a number of times and tried each time to set the alarm only to have it jump from 40 to 80 degrees and nothing in between. The instructions for setting the upper and lower temperature alarms definitely needs some work by a good tech writer, and they ought to have a tech or customer service number prominently displayed. Everything else on the unit worked perfectly and was easy to program, and it's a shame that it is being returned over that one failure.

Love it
Bought one for myself. I find myself glancing at the temp as I walk by.Bought one for my dad as a birthday gift. He really enjoys the product.I like how the unit lights up with a tap on top.Great gift for someone who likes info on current weather.I placed my receiver outside by backing out slightly a screw on a cover plate where outdoor speakers can be installed. I was able to just hang it on the screw backed out. Nice and clean.

Works well. Price is great.
Price point is great. Installed a month ago and working perfect. Temperature is right on based on inside thermostat and 4 outside weather stations.
