These bookends have been a charming addition to my home office. They're sturdy and hold my books well, and the astronaut theme sparks a little joy every time I look at them. I'd appreciate it if the bases lined flushed with the books though, it doesn't quite fit flushed as the pictures so there is a gap.. They are supposed to be flushed in the product photos.

Did you ever get a gift for somebody, only to realize after they unwrapped it exactly how awesome it is? You didn't really pay too much attention to it when you bought it and gave it to them. But then they unwrapped it. And suddenly you have the urge to get one for yourself and you're not sure if it's because you think it's a quality product, or if it's because you're just jealous?That's what I'm going through right now.These are so much cooler than I thought they would be. They're also bigger than I thought, too. I was really expecting something smaller and lighter, since that's what bookends usually are in my experience. But these are nice and heavy, and they're shiny, and the gold looks so much better in person than it does in those pictures.Those pictures don't do the shiny gold parts any justice. Definitely get the gold version, not the gray.A solid 5/5 if you can get it on sale. $35 is a bit high. It was both this whole time: It's a quality product AND I'm jealous.
