Easy to follow

Teaching myself to play the harmonica and this book was a great place to start.

Purchased this for a friend who had paid over $50 for a yard sell harmonica.Surprised him with it on his birthday.He says now there’s no excuse not to learn to play! Very happy with this purchase!

Most of the songs are classics I don't really care for and better choices could have been made but the music seems fine.

After years of playing Bluesharp only, I thought about dusting off my old chromatic harmonica. I bought this collection because it’s reasonably priced and I like a lot of the songs. The harp tablature included makes playing easy, especially when you’re not that good at reading music.After stumbling through some songs I started remembering how to play and things definitely sounded better then. At the moment I’m having lots of fun playing my chromatic once again and I’d definitely recommend this book.There’s even chord symbols and diagrams for guitar players - I don’t need them at the moment, but I think they might be useful when you’re playing with friends.

I discovered that it wasn’t exactly compatible with my number and arrows charts and didn’t work with an ordinary harmonica . Every song I ever wanted but I’m stuck in the little kids book until I can transcribe the song I want.

I think it is possible to pick some good out of this book, but I wouldn't buy it again.This book has a lot of annoying typos and editorial/formatting mistakes (such as inconsistent title capitalization, foreign quotation marks, lyrics for one song replicated in a different song, some verses numbered and some not). Some arrangements are poorly considered on technical grounds (unless YOU can inhale while playing continuously for 24 beats or more). At least 17 of the 70 tunes are specifically Christian themed. Also, it seems rude not to give credit to composers and lyricists AT ALL.On the other hand, the tablature system is adequately explained, and the note charts for different sizes of chromatic harp are useful. The songs present a variety of keys and is not limited to just one or two. Some songs will be abundantly familiar to American players, while some won't be familiar; that's good. Melody lines are shown in standard notation with chord indications for reference or accompaniment. Chord charts (for guitar) are included at the bottom of each song.

I have never played the harmonica but after receiving this book I have been surprised, even I can play!!!!!!!

Taking up chromatic harmonica I thought this would be great, however it is so poorly produced it just causes confusion and anger. Luckily I play diatonic harmonica, otherwise I would be lost. There are just a series of publication errors - I presume this has been self published. Others have pointed out errors in the text - I will add that at least one note on the 10 hole harmonica is wrong; that all the songs I have looked at appear to be tabbed an octave too high and that one song, Barbara Allen, has no tabs at all. On the positive side there is the musical notation and words for 40 songs and the book feels and looks good. I suspect a little time on the internet would get you what you need and more instead of buying this book.

Not very easy to use on an 8 hole chometta you need to change the numbers or read the music
