Our premium Vanuatu kava comes from the island of Tanna in Vanuatu. It is a blend of noble cultivars known as Ahouia and Pia. This kava comes straight from a village in Tanna Island where the villagers have linked with a larger kava association to export their produce. The flavor profile of this kava is between mild and peppery. This is not the kava to try if its your first time to kava. This kava is greatly enjoyed by the locals in Tanna and has a strong kick to it. The kava is harvested at 3-4 years old and sun dried to be processed and turned into powder form. The chemotype of the waka is 624531 and it contains 8.6% kavalactones. Note: May contain large kava chunks.

Don't believe the negative reviews!
Don't know what the other reviewers got, but this is more greatness from Dua Na Bilo. Excellent Kava, which is exactly what I'd expect from this gentleman. A+

Surprisingly good kava
After reading the reviews for this one, I didn't have high hopes. I've been drinking it for the past few days and it's exceeded my expectations. The grog is more brown in color than other kavas I've had, and it tastes a little stronger and earthier. It gives a nice numb mouthfeel and pretty balanced effects. For the price, it's a pretty good deal. Only gave 4 stars because of the taste being a little much.

This didnt have much of an effect
Vanuatu varieties of kava tend to be the strongest varieties so I dont know why this variety did nothing to me. This brands fijian kava weirdly enough was stronger than their vanuatu variety. If you want a good strong vanuatu variety I suggest something from nakamalathome.com or realkava.com. However, this brands fijian varieties are wonderful!

Jury’s still out...
It looks like stems and weeds, and mud, which means I have to use more than usual. However... I like the effect in calming and a slight heightening, without getting nauseous! I think I’m a fan!

Try Waka instead for better potency
Though I really love dua na Bilo's other products, the strength in all of their varieties has dimished since their coming into the market last year. This root in particular looked and smelled great, but even way beyond the typical concentration, yielded little results. Try the Waka, if you are interested in this brand, that one is a bit more consistant.

Its aiight
This product was definitely a little different in taste than other kavas i have tried. It wasnt as strong as their fijian waka, but it wasnt bunk either. It is an ok kava, with a great price tag

Bad Kava
This stuff is bad. I'm an very experienced Kava drinker and have never come across such an inferior Kava. It's just simply bad Root. Super dark, super bitter, and almost no drunk. Just say NO. I'd go zero stars if it would let me. I bought this thinking it was their Fijian variety which a good kava.
