Best Preworkout To Feel Energized
I recently purchased this preworkout and I am absolutely in love with it. The taste is fantastic, and it gives me a great boost of energy and focus for my workouts. I've tried other preworkouts in the past, and this one doesn't make me jittery or give me a crash afterwards, which is a huge plus.I've also noticed that my endurance and strength have improved since I started taking this preworkout. I feel like I can push myself harder and longer during my workouts.Definitely worth trying!

Loved the flavor, but you may need to pay attention to serving sizes at first
The flavor is very good. It has a light fruit flavor, edging on a tropical mixed fruit taste. It’s light yellow in color, which makes me happy to see it’s not loaded with artificial colors or loads of sugar. It’s sweetened with stevia.A slight negative for me took place during the first workout that I used MetCon START. I was taken off guard by the tingling that I felt. At first, I thought I was getting sunburned by the late morning North Carolina sun, since I started my workout outdoors. However, I remembered that feeling from several months ago, when I tried taking Beta Alanine to supplement a track workout. That feeling didn’t sit very well with me, so after two attempts at using Beta Alanine, I decided to discontinue use. Here it was again in this pre-workout supplement. However, I did read on MetCon’s blog on their website, that if you experienced this type of effect or a strong reaction to the caffeine, that you should start with a half serving and build from there. So, I did go to a half serving the second time that I used it, and I did not experience the tingling side effect. I am a petite, 5’3” woman, and I think a full serving is just too much for my size. A half serving seems to work well for me.I have felt like I have had some extra energy during the workouts in which I’ve used MetCon START Pre-Training. It could be the placebo effect, but if I feel like it is working in a positive way for me, then I guess the placebo effect works! And actually, my workouts during the past six months have been really good. I've managed to put on muscle mass while working out in my garage during the Pandemic! So, if MetCon had a hand in that, I'm very thankful.I am always happy to get more amino acids into my diet. I think the MetCon blog sums up nicely the benefits of amino acids and why they are important:*They improve muscle growth*They enhance fat loss*They increase endurance and reduce fatigue during workouts*They help with a faster recovery*They help to prevent muscle loss*They decrease muscle soreness*They help to maintain healthier blood sugar levels*They contribute to longevity and fight disease

Great for running and an overall pick me up
Got my MetCon Start Pre-Training a few days right before my 50k and even though runners always say to not try anything new on race day, I went ahead and did it anyway. I was pleasantly surprised to not have any gut issues at all. This is pretty huge for me as I can usually only drink water at aid stations because other electrolyte drinks make my gut feel off. On race day, I drank it 15 min before I ran and the entire time, I felt really strong. It's meant to replenish those lost vitamins and electrolytes and provide sustained energy release and I can say that it did all that for me. I usually bonk at mile 20, but for my 50k, I was strong enough to make it to 26 miles before hitting the wall. Haha. The Fruit Punch flavor that it comes in is really nice as well. Not overly sweet and still tastes delicious. On days where I don't work out, I also use it as a pick me up in the mornings. It has a bit of caffeine in it, which is nice for days where I need a jump start to the day and don't want to have coffee. Overall, I had a really great experience with this.

Outstanding boost!
I've been using Metcon START for a number of weeks now and love it. The powder serving mixes and dissolves fast and easily with 12 oz. water per the directions, and truly tastes great. Without exception, each time I've taken it I have felt a boost during my run. There is a distinct sense of mental sharpness, accompanied by a smooth, gliding feel to my stride within just a few minutes of starting. There was one run in particular in which the miles felt shorter, and that I could go even further than I had originally intended. So much that even extending the distance, I had no problem knocking out sets of push-ups and sit-ups after finishing the run. There have been a couple of days in which I was very short on time and preoccupied with things and have forgotten to take the Metcon START, and I have noticed the contrast between how those runs feel versus when I have taken it. My stomach has not had any issues with it whatsoever, and I don't feel any jitters or side effects from using this as indicated, 15 minutes prior to my runs. Will be making START a permanent part of workout process from this point on.

Great taste, does the job right
This is my first time trying MetCon START and I will definitely be replenishing my supply. I'm not a morning person, and the 200 mg caffeine per serving (1 scoop mixed with 12 oz of water) definitely gives me a boost of energy. Taken just 15-20 minutes before my run or workout, it definitely sustains me and keeps my energy at a steady level. It's a good source of essential vitamins and contains Beta Alanine, which helps improve athletic performance and build lean muscle mass. MetCon START also contains the BCAAs, which not only create protein, but also boost the immune system and brain function. The product is labeled as fruit punch, but it has more of a citrus taste, which is very good - not too heavy, and easy on the stomach. I will continue to use MetCon START as my pre-workout. The price is right, and in fact I think it's now listed for even a couple of dollars less than I originally paid for it.
