Captivating
The thing I liked most about this book is that it gave me some perspective on the history of what underground hardcore was, right up through the 90's and 2000's. I was part of a large local scene in Tampa in the 80's and many of the musicians in the book were either part of that scene at one point or mentioned the Tampa scene from time to time. I was very into the music of 80% of the bands listed and thought it gave some great insight as to what touring on the road required as well as what those bands were all about. If you like this genre of music, this book is a great read.

very addictive reading
This book is very addictive reading the stories are so funny and crazy, you don't want to stop reading story after story. I can't wait for the next edition of this book. It also let you know what being on the road is really like, unlike what you might think before reading this book. Very FUNNY......

This book kicks ass !
I am not much of reader and very rarely read a book. I was told that I haven't found the right book that interest me. Well "The Road" kept my interest more than any book I have ever read. It had great tour stories that kept me reading like I was part of the moment. I would say this is the best book I have ever read. Awesome !

Incredible
This collection of stories paints a beautifully vivid picture of what it's like for an underground rock band on tour. The stories are funny, that's for sure. But the book really studies something much deeper - our humanity and our contemporary culture.
