I took a star off because the cup is not included and I didn't see anything about the cup not being there in the description when I ordered it.I am not quite sure how I feel about this. I am a coffee person who occasionally will make some loose leaf tea either from my garden like lemongrass or some organic lavender I keep for special nights.It's kind of awkward to pour the tea into but then I found out you're just supposed to put it into the cup and steep.Note that the glass gets very hot so careful handling it.

I’ve been wanting to drink hot tea using fresh dried herbs like mint. What I like about this infuser is that it’s made of thick glass and easy to use. You put the ingredients you want inside the glass tube and then set it inside a cup of hot water and let it sit for a few minutes. There are little slits in the glass that allow the leaves to steep inside the water and make a quick cup of tea. This infuser needs large pieces of leaves and herbs to work properly, otherwise any small pieces will slip through the slits in the glass and float on top of the water in the cup. What I’m not fond of is that the slits in the glass don’t go all the way to the bottom of the tube, so I have to discard whatever doesn’t drain into my cup when I remove the infuser. It also comes with a cork top and a wooden spoon to put your ingredients in the tube, although I find it’s easier to hold the infuser with one hand and use my other hand to put the tea inside it.

I received the product about a week ago, and I'd like to share my thoughts on its usage today. This Tea Infuser is crafted with a glass body featuring a row of elongated holes on the glass that allow the tea leaves to come in contact with water. The top is sealed with a wooden stopper, making it easy to cover the Tea Infuser. Both the glass and the wooden stopper exhibit impressive quality. The only drawback is that they tend to gather at the bottom after steeping the tea leaves, making cleaning a bit challenging. You might need to use something like chopsticks to extract them.

It’s cute, however this will work better in bigger mugs. The container itself is a bit on the larger side.

I was initially concerned that the openings in the glass tube would be either too small for water to flow through or so large that tea would escape into the cup, but the openings are perfect.This infuser is large enough for most individual servings of loose leaf tea, but a bit small for medicinal dosages. My wife uses various herbal blends for cough or sinus remedies that require higher concentrations of herbs to water ratio that would need a larger infuser.The infuser comes with a bamboo scoop and cork stopper, making this a very thoughtful and distinctive gift for a tea-loving friend.
