These unlike aragonite pieces do not need to be cured. They are fired at over 2000 degrees for several hours. This prevents any ph spikes that are common from aragonite pieces that usually are never fully cured leading to a major die off in your tank. Will work for any type of wrasse or cichlid. Designed for those who have bare bottom tanks, and want to keep those particular fish that like to sleep in sand. Now you can place a little bit of sand in a wrasse den and they have somewhere to sleep in comfort. These are also like by many other fish and invertebrate for a hiding place. They have shown to promote coralline algae growth and corals. They are bright white approx 6" long by 3 1/2" wide, and they sit about 3" tall.
