The lens fitment on this telescope slots into the hole and is held in place with finger tightening screws. (The plastic screw in type wear out and easily break on the cheaper scopes and makes the scope unusable).The tripod is well made but adjustments are not as easy as with more expensive tripods. And there is no fine tuning. The 10mm lensB is difficult to focus. But the 20mm lens on it's own (or slotted into the Barlow lens) is easier to focus. The phone attachment allows video and photos to be taken and works great.It is a basic well made scope which does the job and a great start out kit.

My son loves it

when full assenbled, the joints on the top of the trypod move (lots of give) when you put a phone on to take a pic and let go of the handel it easly falls out of focus.

I bought this as a birthday present for my 9 years old boy. He is thrilled with it. This telescope has great magnification, easy to built and use. He likes use it to see the moon and stars. It can see the things naked eyes cannot see. Absolutely,it is a great first telescope for everyone who interested in learning about the night sky.

The assembly process was straightforward and quick, making it easy to set up even for a novice like myself. The telescope’s fully multi-coated optics provide excellent image clarity and high transmission, enhancing the stargazing experience. The included tripod, phone adapter, and carrying bag add to its convenience and portability. Unfortunately, the weather in the UK has not been cooperative, with most nights being overcast and obscured by clouds. Despite this, I am excited for clearer skies to fully enjoy this telescope.
