Sunbeam Electric Premium Water Resistant Restful Quilted Heated Mattress Pad, 12 Heat Settings, 12-Hour Selectable Auto Shut-Off, Fast Heating, Cozy Warming Bed, King, 76" x 80"

I spent a lot of time researching and comparing heated mattress pads. We've used this pad for about a month now and I really like it. Just a few notes about it. The plug in is at the end of the pad in the center and does not bother our feet. The pad is comfortable and we do not feel the wires within the pad. It was advertised to fit a 16" mattress which I believe to be true as I had extra fabric over a 14" mattress. The fit is secure. The controller works great! Very easy to read and use. I have been able to easily adjust the temperature to my personal preference. I have to say my favorite thing is that the light on the controller does not light up the room. I very much dislike those LED lights that light up the dark. It is a soft light, easy to read but does not glow bright when you turn off the lights. Technically, the appearance, thickness, plug in don't really matter because it is covered by a bottom sheet when you sleep on it. The size, ability to use and comfort is definitely as advertised.

I've had a Sunbeam heated mattress pad for quite some years, it was great, several settings and was easy to wash. When I went to replace it I was concerned that I would not find one of the same quality but now that I've had it for a few months I can say this heated mattress pad is terrific and I like the features. Mine is the King size, comes with 2 controllers which you have to make sure you have correctly located as the wiring goes from the mattress pad to one controller and then the other and then to the outlet. My old one was different, the controllers plugged in one to each side of the mattress. To be clear, the plug is at the center of the foot of the mattress pad so it won't get in your way if you are tall. The pad was generous in depth so I got some mattress clips to help hold it in place and not bunch up under me. I advise you to do the same when you buy the mattress pad and save yourself from taking it off and putting it back on. The controllers have the power readout numerically, and a readout of the hours remaining until auto shut off which I think is a good feature. What I didn't like is that there is no plastic bracket or hood to hang the controller on the side board of the bed so you have to lay it someplace, I may get some velcro and attach it that way so I can pull it up to change it and it won't be in the way. There is a center On button that turns it on or off when pressed. What I wasn't wild about was the led light stays on when the power is on, yes a nice safety feature but if a little bit of light bothers you then you'll want to attach this or place it so the light is shielded. The pad itself is nice quality, you can't feel the small wires when you are laying on it at all. I haven't washed it yet but it appears well made, (sewn) and hopefully won't come apart.

This heated mattress pad has been a real quality-of-life changer for me! In the colder months I always get miserably cold in the evening, with the cold being especially bad at bedtime - my nose, hands, feet and calves - to the point where I will actually have trouble getting to sleep because I am so cold. (I've seen my doctor, but this has not been determined to be a medical issue.) Over the years I've tried all sorts of "remedies": multiple blankets, flannel sheets, heavy socks, socks with inserts that get heated in the microwave, turning the heat way up before bedtime to warm up the bedroom, having a space heater on very near my side of the bed (even bought one with a timer so it would shut off after a set period of time), and a thing called a Snuggle Safe, which is specifically marketed to be used to keep a dog's bed warm. (The Snuggle Safe is a disk that gets heated in the microwave for about 5 minutes and stays remarkably warm through the entire night. I would put it under the covers down at my feet and this thing worked very well. I even wrote to the company that makes them and suggested they market them for other uses.) However, I like to read in bed, and was never able to do so in the colder months because my hands would be too cold to have out of the covers to hold the book/Kindle/iPad. Yes, we did have a dual control electric blanket many, many years ago, but my husband, who did not get cold back then, always complained that me having my side on was making his side too warm, so the electric blanket was banished and never revisited. As we got older, my husband was no longer as warm all the time as he used to be, so I was able to get him to agree to try a dual control heated mattress pad. This has not only changed the quality of my life, but my husband loves it as well. (Many nights he's the one who will make sure that both sides of the mattress pad are on "pre-heat" before bedtime, and it's a slice of heaven to get into a toasty bed, rather than cold sheets!) So goodbye to all the other gadgets and space heater and extra socks and extra blankets (though I still wear one pair of socks and use one blanket and flannel sheets in the winter). And another great benefit is that I can read in bed again! Yup, by having my feet and calves warm, my hands warm up too! We first pre-heat, then each side adjusts to our desired settings, and, if we forget to turn the controls off when we get up in the morning, they automatically shut off. For some unknown reason, our first heated mattress pad (exact same make and model) decided to stop working after about 2 years. While it was still under warranty, I was in a panic over having to do without it for any length of time, so I ordered another one from Amazon (which actually cost a bit less than the first one), and we had it in 2 days (isn't Prime shipping the best?), Then I sent the one that stopped working back to Sunbeam, and not long after Sunbeam sent me a brand new replacement. Win-win because now we have a backup just in case one decides not to work (huge peace-of-mind factor)! Bottom line: I can't stress enough about how a heated mattress pad so dramatically changed the quality of my life for the better, and I highly recommend this to anyone who even gets a little cold at night.

This is a very nice, very comfortable mattress pad. You cannot feel the wires when you sleep on it, and I have a large, full-size mattress, and it fits actually a little large on it. It stays in place on the bed. As far as heating is concerned that heats well it seems that the entire top of the mattress is warm. The only problem that I have with it, and the reason that I gave it a one star on the temperature control is that first of all there were no instructions how to use that temperature control. So I went online and I figured that out however, you turn it on you push the button, you set your temperature and the light goes out so that is the thing on or is it off? I don’t want to have this on when I’m not home during the day so every morning I have to make sure that it’s turned off. It’s kind of a big pain because you can’t determine just by glancing at it what it is. Trying to adjust it during the night is ridiculous. This is a very good quality product. however, that temperature control is very poor.

Forget electric blankets and running the heat until your nose dries up and bleeds. Buy one of these babies and start sleeping like a king! Want gentle heat? Set it at 3 or 4. Want to boil water on your bed? Set it at 20. It turns itself off automatically after 10 hours if you like and you can also pre-heat your bed to take the chill out before you retire. The pad is large enough to accommodate the thickest mattress and is well constructed. We have even washed it with no ill effects. I was concerned that I would feel the wires in the pad-- you really don't. The only evidence of this pad's electrical nature is the large connector plug which is at the very foot in the middle in a place you are unlikely to explore with your warm toes. This pad is far superior to any electric blanket I have tried. You sleep on your own sheets and under your own cover. The only difference is that your bed is magically warmed to the exact temperature you like. The warmth is not completely even but this appears to be by design. Whoever decided on the pattern of heat did a good job. If you buy the Queen or King size, you get two separate zones with two separate controllers so your significant other can create their own microclimate under the covers. If there was any disappointment, it is the fact that the controllers are connected to the pad (and to the wall plug) by wires. I would think that a wireless arrangement would be easy to do but perhaps the price point would have to be higher. The price of this wonder appliance is almost cheap--not too much more than an ordinary quality mattress pad and you are likely to save the cost in one season by simply lowering your thermostat at night and saving on utility costs while sleeping perfectly comfortably. Buy it.

This mattress pad is my new favorite thing. There have been so many nights I've had trouble falling asleep because I was too cold, even in a fairly well-heated house, even with a heated blanket. This thing is magic. It has 20 heat settings. It's late fall in Massachusetts now, and I've been using settings 10-15 to warm up while I'm sitting in bed and settings 1-5 for when I'm actually sleeping. I look forward to the higher settings when it's wintertime, and if you live in an even colder area than I do, I'm sure you'd love how warm it gets. Note that the full size pad does not have dual controls like the queen and king size. For me, this is perfect because I don't want to have to turn on two separate sides, but if you share a full bed, you might be disappointed that it's not separated. I've seen several reviews complaining about the placement of the electrical connection, which is right in the middle of the pad at the foot of the bed. I have rubbed my feet against this several times, but it's not a big bother to me. Another odd thing I've noticed is a soft whirring sound that I hear beneath my pillow when the mattress pad is on. This is something that people could find irritating, but, like the placement of the plug, it doesn't bother me. Based on these things that could be improved, I'd rate this 4.5 stars, but I love it too much to give it anything less than five. UPDATE: I put my mattress pad through the washer and dryer on the same settings I use for my clothes (cold water, medium heat drying), and it still works perfectly, though I think it shrunk just a bit. I also tried putting it on the bed with the plug at the head rather than the foot; my purpose was to make sure it gets even wear, but it also eliminated any annoyance of kicking the plug because the plug is now under my pillows. UPDATE 2: I put this through the washer for the third time, and it got a pretty serious rip in it, with one of the wires poking out and some of the insulation worn off--I'm almost certain this was because I over-stuffed the washer and the mattress pad got stuck on something, so it's not an issue with the product, but just be warned that this should probably be washed on its own (or maybe with a little something else, like I've done previously). I've sewn up the holes now, and I'm pretty sure it should be fine because the wire wasn't seriously damaged. But if it is ruined, I'm totally buying another one.

I bought this pad in October 2017. The first winter it seemed to work fine. I'd use it to heat my king bed and then turn it either off or to a very low setting. The pad heated very, very warm! I was very satisfied! That was winter 2017-2018. This season the pad has not heated like before. It is heating very slightly which seems strange to me. I did some research and was told to 'reset' the device. I did so, and have done so, many times. I have done a 'roll test' where you roll the pad up, horizontally across the bed, and then turn the pad on. After a short time I can feel the pad heating up but not alot....not HOT like it heated during that first season. So it is heating but something is wrong and resetting does nothing. So I've been using it and crawling into a cold bed which then gets comfortably warm. I'm fortunate in that I'm cold blooded and this is no bother but I'm not happy that the device didn't last more than one winter season. I'll buy another pad but not a Sunbeam. UPDATE: I can't figure out how to communicate with the seller. I sure miss this nice, warm heated pad so will buy ANOTHER BRAND. I've not heard a word from Sunbeam Customer Support. Not sure I'll buy anything else by Sunbeam. UPDATE: 3/2019 It's been a couple of months since I wrote Sunbeam. They gave me the typical response about how busy they are but they'll get back to me. I finally gave up, tossed the pad in the trash and then I got another response from Sunbeam. I had explained my issue in the first email but this 2nd response was like they never bothered to read it. They wanted to know again what the problem was. I chose not to answer as their blanket was history and I really got the feeling they wouldn't be doing anything for me. I've bought a pad from Sleep Number and though it was a little more expensive, I love it! You don't feel the wires and the separate dual controls plug in a the head of the bed which is very convenient and I no longer have to play toe tag with the single plug at the foot of my bed. Again, I won't be buying anything Sunbeam ever again.

I got this to replace a different brand of heated mattress pad that died after 5 years of use and I am so pleased with this! I like to sleep in a cold room with the ceiling fan on, but it can take me a long time to warm up in bed, so I like having a heated mattress pad to make my bed warm and cozy. After trying a heated mattress pad, I will be less likely to use a heated blanked, as I like being heated from below. I love that I can turn on the preheat mode as I'm getting ready for bed, and by the time I get in, my bed is cozy warm, like I'd already been laying in it. What I like: -It's padded so you really don't feel the wires like you do with the thin ones -The 20 heat settings -The preheat setting -It remembers your last heat setting, so you don't have to reset it every time you turn it on -It has auto shut-off so I don't have to remember to turn it off (my previous one would shut off & leave the light on, but this one actually turns off so there's no confusion) -There's 2 controllers, one for each side of the bed -There's just 1 plug for the 2 controllers, so you don't have to use up 2 outlets -The controllers are pretty compact, so they don't take up a lot of room -The controllers are lit up with just enough light to see it in the dark without it being too bright -It's waterproof/water resistant -It's washable -The plug at the foot of the bed has clasps on the sides to keep it from disconnecting -It fits our 14" memory foam mattress with plenty of room for a thicker mattress What I don't like so much: -The plug is at the foot of the bed in the center, so I do feel it a bit. Other reviewers said to place that end at the head of the bed, so that's an easy solution. We have a padded mattress pad over this heated one, so there's an extra layer of padding to reduce the feel of the plug on our feet. -It was a little challenging figuring out which controller went to which side. We just turned one on high and left the other off and usually I will write an R and L on the controllers for future reference. Regarding water resistant-ness: One of the dogs had an accident on our bed the other night. This was the bottom layer over the mattress and none of the urine got past it. Granted, the urine went through a comforter, sheets and mattress pad before getting to the headed mattress pad, but that's where it stopped, so it did what it was supposed to do. It washed and dried well. I looked at a lot of heated mattress pads and after reading reviews and comparing features, decided this would be the best option for me and I am not disappointed. I highly recommend this for anyone wanting a dual-zone heated mattress pad with pretty much all the features you could ask for.

I absolutely love my Sunbeam Heated Mattress Cover! It heats up very quickly and gets very warm on the high setting - so much so I need to turn it down! The Pre-Heat Setting is awesome to turn on prior to bed time. My bed use to be ice cold getting into and now that I have this heated cover, it's my favorite place to be! So comfy I don't want to ever get out of bed in the morning! lol I almost was going to get a heated blanket to warm up my bed but this is sooo much better! as it is fitted to the mattress and always in place! Highly recommend, you will love it!!

Produit acheté pour la fonction de partage de chaleur i.e. que la moitié du lit peut être chauffée tandis que l'autre ne l'est pas. Même en maintenant la temp. très basse de son côté,le lit se réchauffe très doucement. Seul bémol, la jonction des fils se fait au pied du lit au centre, ce qui fait que, mesurant 6.0 pi ( 185 cm ) je suis porté à la toucher régulièrement. L'envers de ceci est que cette position au centre au pied délimite bien l'espace de chacun. Pour adoucir le toucher de cette jonction, nous avons recouvert ce protège matelas chauffant par un autre protège matelas qui était déjà sur le lit plus le drap contour. Le tout fonctionne très bien.

Fácil de usar y de instalar. El apago automático es muy cómodo para la noche, calienta muy bien!
