POWERFUL little machine.
I'm giving this 5 stars even though it did not work for me. It is a fantastic little tool with a TON of power. I purchased this because I have pain and weakness in my hands and was hoping this would help save me from having to scrub my tub/shower and would put in the elbow grease for me. It definitely would have, if I could hold on to it. My hands are not strong enough to use it, it was so powerful that it caused pain for me and jumped around everywhere because I didn't have the strength to keep it in one position. On the other hand, my husband loves it, he did not have the same problems I did with it and I think that is 100% just the difference in our hand strength/abilities.I wish you could select what heads came with it, because I only used one or two of them, but I can appreciate the variety to figure out what will work for you and then just reorder more of the supplies you specifically need.

The only tool out there like it.
I bought the Dremel Versa to do what my arthritic hands can't do anymore -- clean the hard water ring out of our toilets. So far it has done that where all other efforts other than a LOT of hand scrubbing with 320 grit wet and dry silicone carbide sandpaper could do.Background: After trying every chemical I could find including some nasty shop chemicals requiring organic filter mask to dissolve the ring without success - as well as pumice which cost me a toilet from destroying the porcelain glaze making the ring come back faster each time - I settled on steadily increasingly coarser grits of wet and dry paper starting at 1500. I stopped at 320 grit before porcelain damage occurred. But my aching hands just had to find a better way.Along comes the Dremel Versa... The advertising for the Versa doesn't state what the thread on its shaft is. So after finding some 2" sanding backer pads with Velcro and some 2" 320 grit wet and dry disks I set about to adapt the threads to each other. I've forgotten what the Versa was - something metric. The pads were 5/16-24. So I just tack welded (carefully for alignment and balance) two nuts together with a washer between. Note that one local hardware store sold nuts that were not flattened correctly or drilled perpendicular creating a slight wobble when welded together. Home Depot nuts were flat and drilled correctly. The Dremel Versa worked absolutely perfectly for this job ! I let the paper do the work without much pressure and tried to use as much of the paper as possible with the limited flex of the backer pad. The battery once fully charged (the light goes out when charged, YEA Dremel !) worked and worked and worked. It took me a full 15 minutes to get rid of that darn hard water ring and the top, edge bowl water stains from the tank flush, and the Dremel hadn't run out of charge yet or gotten hot - just a little warm. My hand and finger joints were MUCH happier than before. Since getting the porcelain nice and shiny with no hint of a ring, It has only required a 1-2 minute touch-up every 2 weeks with the Dremel and a normal toilet brush and toilet cleaner in between once a week and just before using the Dremel. In trying the Versa for its intended use: cleaning with the included brush attachments I used it on our fiberglass shower base to do edges, corners around the drain. It did a great job of getting into the edges with its stiff brush and showed no signs of battery fatigue doing our 36x48" base. I still used a hand floor scrub brush on the field of the base because it's just plain faster. I also used the Dremel with my thread adapter and the little 2" backer pad and 320 grit paper on the bathroom sink drain stopper which had gotten a hard whitish film over a long time that I'm not sure is water minerals like the toilet or from toothpaste. I used it very very lightly so as not to grind through the chrome plating to the brass. But the Dremel brought it back to nice shiny chrome. The Versa's ergonomic design fits my hand very well indeed. Nice design. Well engineered tool and battery. If I could make anything better at all on this tool (and earn the 5th star rating) it would be only to make the metric thread on the shaft an American inch size like 1/2"-13 thread so that adapters that are readily available could be used so customers could easily get their own backer pads to adapt to the Versa. And if Dremel really wanted to fulfill my wish list (and sell more units to the millions of folks with hard water) it would be to include a slightly flexible, but tough rubber, Velcro backed backing pad for using wet and dry paper on curved surfaces like sink and toilet bowls.Great tool and engineering. I'd pay 20 more bucks to have it made in the U.S.

I searched all reviews for THIS info!! HERE IT IS, THE DEFINITIEVE ANSWER!
Okay. If you live in a place with messed up hard water, like the coast, and/or you have bad wrists, this will clean your tub, and your toilet. Full stop. Look no further. Will it get it like-new? YES. IT WILL.Let the tool do the work. Don't press down too hard. It will take a few times in the beginning to get it pristine. But, it will get it pristine. For other things, I don't know, I don't have trouble cleaning anything else. If you need it for the above reason, make sure you spend another $10 and get the small brushes on the post; that's what you need for under the toilet rim.
