The No. 1 Decaf Coffee for me!
I stopped using decaf coffee a long while ago because of the chemicals used to decaffeinate it and which were giving me side-effects.Talking to a friend, he asked me about the process, so I did some in-depth research and found out that 'Swiss Water' were the only company to decaffeinate coffee beans using mineral water - so no added nasties. This spurred me on to try it - and it is perfect! I have had no 'reactions' to it, the taste is smooth and not overpowering. I take mine with Rude Health Organic Rice Drink (also available from Amazon) due to a lactose intolerance, and it is simply delicious. This is my second bag and I have also just received their coffee bags, which will be great when I go away or visit friends.Yes, it is rather more expensive than other brands, but then you are getting a great coffee, which doesn't contain Ethyl Acetate or Methylene Chloride which are usually used to decaffeinate coffee beans, and that is why it is good value. I'd rather pay a bit more and know what I am consuming - to me it's worth it.

👍
Good product, makes a decent ristretto, with good texture, the roast is medium, possibly at the beginning of medium dark, which i enjoy, the notes i get are mostly chocolate and a hint of caramel, it's full on hot chocolate with caramelized notes in steamed milk, with no obvious oily residue on the beans, or ashy or burnt taste when brewed that you usually get from most decaf beans, which giveaway the fact those are cheap beans roasted to a char to hide the bad notes, not these these though, they're a solid substitute for caffeinated beans, for me, these are used for latte or flat white after 5pm, gives me my coffee fix without all the caffeine.

Fine, nothing special
Lacking a bit of flavour but this could be due to the beans being a bit old. Beans should be no older than 3 weeks when consuming otherwise they become stale. Yo pay for what you get on this one.

Cool Coffee
Nice coffee, smooth taste, no bitterness. Nice anytime of the day, with no caffeine kick so you can even have a cup at bedtime!Update 27/04/2015Bought a double pack of Cool Brazil and a single pack of caffeinated Brown Bear coffee beans. I spotted that the single pack was cheaper than the Cool Brazil, so I thought, "Ooh! bargain, I'll have that. On opening the box containing the three packs, my wife said, "I thought you only wanted decaf coffee beans". That's when I realised my mistake. However, I decided to make my own blend of coffee, so I measured one scoop of caffeinated coffee to three scoops of Cool Brazil decaf coffee and then into my Krups grinder ( total 25 gms ). Brewed in my caffetiere for four minutes and what a lovely mug of coffee! Now I don't have to waste my caffeinated coffee!

Quality is very variable.
Beans arrived heavily charred, effected taste a fair amount and added a large burn taste into the beans.

Very Happy with this coffee.
Coffee arrived safely as usual. The beans are a medium roast, with a lovely aroma.I ground these beans 20g per mug in a good burr grinder and brewed them in a Melitta Look coffee maker. The result is a delicious brew, with a lovely smooth taste and a good mouth feel. Body is good, and leaves a lovely aftertaste as you finish the cup.I'm really enjoying this coffee and at the price will certainly buy againHighly recommended for filter coffee machines, and works well in French Press. These beans are just as good brewed either way.
